Christine McGuinness vowed to ‘never kick Paddy out’ in past amid split claims

Paddy McGuiness sparked concern surrounding the state of his marriage to Christine McGuinness after a newly-posted video on Chris Baber's Instagram appeared to show he'd removed his heart-shaped tattoo – a tribute to his wife.

The Top Gear host, 48, got the inking to make up for losing his wedding ring on two separate occasions in recent years.

Following this several unearthed extracts featured in model Christine's first autobiography A Beautiful Nightmare said the Full Monty star would "never kick husband Paddy out."

"People go through difficult times in marriage, family, work, life – everything," Christine told readers. "Stick together if you can, if not go your separate ways.

"But for me, I wanted my children to have a dad at home."

Later on in the chapter named If you've got laughter you've got everything, she addressed previous rumours she "kicked" out husband Paddy McGuinness following the pictures circulating of him arm-in-arm with All Saints star Nicole Appleton in 2018.

"There were stories saying I'd kicked him out – I never did or would ever do that," she penned.

"No matter how difficult things get, I would never kick my husband out."

The pair – who share twins Penelope and Leo, eight, and daughter Felicity, six – met at a Tennis Tournament in Liverpool in 2007 before tying the knot at a lavish wedding at Thornton Manor three years later.

Christine spoke publicly about the couple's marital 'difficulties' the same year the Nicole photos were released, telling fans: "It's been difficult recently. I want us to spend more time together, to do stuff together. I wish he would stay home more, or that I could go with him.

"But we are happier than ever, we have been putting the effort in. There have been times when he's left to go to work and I've waved him off and then I've gone back into the house and cried thinking I wish he would just stay in."

And in her tell-all autobiography, Christine gives more of her verdict on the photos of her husband with another woman.

"It didn't matter to me if I'd forgiven him, if I was OK with it or if I trusted him," she said.

"All of that didn't count, I just wanted my children to have their father there – something I never had."
