Coco Austin Dragged Over Inappropriate Dancing Video With Daughter Chanel

The ‘Ice T Loves Coco’ star lands in hot water after she shares on TikTok a new video featuring her and her 7-year-old daughter doing some dance moves that many deem ‘inappropriate.’

AceShowbizCoco Austin once again raises people’s eyebrows with her parenting choice. The “Ice-T Loves Coco” star landed in hot water after she shared on TikTok a new dancing video with her daughter Channel.

In the said video, the model and the 7-year-old, whom Coco shares with husband Ice-T, could be seen dancing to the tune of a remixed version of Black Eyed Peas‘ “Boom Boom Pow”. At one point of the routine, Coco lifted her leg up before her daughter went to smack her mom’s butt twice.

“Chanel always makes me do these weird dances I just go with it,” the 44-year-old captioned the Tuesday, April 11 post which has garnered over 75,000 views on the video-sharing platform. “I stole this from her phone to show you. Lol.”

While the mom and daughter duo were clearly having fun in the clip, some fans didn’t think the dance moves were inappropriate for Chanel. One critic said, “It is not appropriate for a little girl or her mother.” Another wrote that Coco is “passing along all the wrong things as a parent.”

“It’s weird she has her slap her like that. It is weird sorry,” someone else commented. “How sad that that is the new training of parents to children, and worse, that is celebrated by the rest of society, that is why the world is the way it is,” another critic said, while someone simply called the video “cringy [sic] af.”

While Coco has yet to respond to the backlash, some of her fans jumped to her defense. “Saw this upset some folks as inappropriate for Chanel,” one supporter said, “F the haters keep loving and enjoying that little girl and live your best lives.” One other questioned, “What’s weird about this? This is freaking adorable.”

It’s not the first time Coco was slammed for her parenting choices. Prior to this, Coco was criticized for sharing a video of Chanel twerking. In her defense, Coco said of her daughter, “She is making fun of a character from bobs burgers…”

As for Ice-T, the “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” told E! News in March, “I don’t care about backlash. The thing with social media is you can’t care about the comments because they’re just strangers. The only thing that could bother me is if somebody that I respected or knew said something.”
