Strictly: Craig gets emotional after Ellie’s ‘flawless’ performance
Craig Revel Horwood has responded to backlash following last night’s Strictly Come Dancing 2023 final. The judge spoke out on X, previously Twitter, as some viewers claimed he had undermarked Bobby Brazier and his dance partner Dianne Buswell.
The 58-year-old did not hold back as he replied to individual users unhappy with his scoring in view of his 286,000 followers. He urged fans to “get their facts straight” after an emotional instalment saw Ellie Leach lift the Glitterball.
However, it was 20-year-old EastEnders star Bobby’s result many seemed concerned with, but Craig made his feelings very clear. One user told the BBC star: “@CraigRevHorwood giving Bobby and Diane a nine in their final dance makes me hate you even more… lol… worthy 10.”(sic)
Craig quipped back, simply: “Hate’s a strong word darling.” A second fan agreed: “Bobby’s dance about his mum was brilliant, come on @CraigRevHorwood it should have been a 10.”
This person got an even shorter response from the deadpan panellist, with him writing back just: “No.” It came after Bobby was the only one of the three finalists not to get the perfect 40 as they danced their favourite routine again, due to a nine from Craig.

And it was the same score all night from Craig for Jade Goody’s son, with Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin topping the finale leaderboad, dropping just one point across a trio of performances.
However, those watching at home crowned Ellie, 22, their winner, alongside her dance partner and rumoured boyfriend Vito Coppola.
Another tweet read: “Biased on every level Ellie learned from scratch Layton was already dance trained.”
But Craig added: “Not true Pamela get your facts straight darling.”
