Danielle Lloyd ‘convinced she would die’ as she opens up on devastating diagnosis

Danielle Lloyd was 'convinced she would die' after a scary health experience and diagnosis that left her unable to reach her dreams of having a sixth child.

The mum of five has recently opened up about her health scare, which saw her experiencing heavy unexplained bleeding that led to her having a biopsy to check for cancer.

Danielle was admitted to hospital after experiencing heavy vaginal bleeding and blood clots. Doctors also found ovarian cysts which were tested for cancerous cells, but thankfully they came back clear.

However, the health scare means that Danielle is unable to carry any more children. She is already mum to Archie, 13, Harry, 12, George, 10, Ronnie, five and Autumn, one.

Speaking to Closer magazine, Danielle explained: "I was convinced I was going to die and was crying all the time. So when the doctor told me I was all clear, I felt this huge relief wash over me."

The former reality star described how she had called the emergency line for advice, only to be told to go to the hospital.

Whilst at the hospital, doctors asked the star if anyone in her family had had cancer before – which is when the panic really set in for her.

The star has previously been diagnosed with endometriosis, but now she's been diagnosed with adenomyosis (a gynecologic condition that causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall of the uterus) and endometrioma (which are cystic lesions that stem from the disease process of endometriosis).

Danielle previously opened up to OK!about the scary experience, prior to discovering that she did not have cancer, as she detailed her heartbreak at not being able to have another child.

She said “When you hear the word cancer, you just think, ‘Oh my god, I’m going to die.

“I just can’t stop crying and have said to Michael, ‘I don’t want to leave my kids’. I’m trying to stay positive for them, but it’s been horrendous. I’m sat here every day thinking, ‘Am I going to be okay?’”

She continued: “The doctor has advised me not to have anymore children and whatever the results, I have thickening of the womb which can eventually lead to cancer anyway, I’ve spoken to a few friends and were like, ‘Oh god, are you ready to go through menopause?’ But at the end of the day, I do have five kids which I’m thankful for.”

Danielle previously said she wanted an “even number” of children, and described the fact that she can't as 'heartbreaking'.

She told us: “In some ways it is heartbreaking, I sometimes can’t imagine never having a little baby again.”
