Darius Danesh was staying close to hospital when he tragically died aged 41

Darius Danesh fans have noted that he was staying near a world-renowned hospital at the time of his death, which could hold the key to his tragic passing.

The much loved star was found dead in his Rochester, Minnesota apartment on 11 August. The property is near the Mayo Clinic’s famous 1,265-bed Saint Marys Campus.

No cause of death has been officially given yet as police continue an “open investigation”.

However concerned fans have wondered what prompted the 41 year old to stay in such an obscure location, given that his life in the US was largely based in California, over 2,000 miles away.

While in Rochester, Darius had been staying at The Berkman apartments, a series of luxury furnished suites designed for use in the short-term, or long-term.

Crucially however, the majority of residents staying in the block of flats worked, or were being treated, at the clinic nearby.

Following his heartbreaking passing, one fan wrote: “Darius was the warmest of souls. So kind and gentle.

“We don’t know what took him to Rochester, but other than the hospital, there is little there.”

While another added: “Taken too soon. Worrying why he’d be staying so close to the Mayo Clinic. Hope he didn’t suffer.”

The comments came as his former wife, Canadian actress Natasha Henstridge, 48, paid a moving tribute to her ex-husband on social media.

She wrote: “I have found the paradox that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt – only more love – Mother Theresa.”

Natasha, who was married to the singer for 7 years added: “There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love.”

Meanwhile, Phones4U boss John Cauldwell, 69, recalled the touching moment Darius had serenaded his housebound mum, and sang at her memorial service four months ago when she died aged 98.

John said: “It meant the world to me and the family to have Darius sing, a spine-tingling rendition of Hallelujah…

“In less than two months, Darius was due to perform at my own 70th birthday party. I cannot believe this vibrant young man is now gone.”

Rochester Police confirmed that they had responded to a “deceased person call” at 11.53am on August 11.

A call was placed when a medical team was requested for a “possible deceased” person. Another call was allegedly made just minutes later from an operator saying: “No need to respond.”

They confirmed there were “no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances.”
