Dierks Bentley Shares Video For New Single Gold

Country music singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley recently released a music video for his latest single, “Gold.”

Directed by Wes Edwards, the video shows a man who quits his job at a warehouse, sells his house and hits the road with his dog in search of freedom.

“Gold,” which dropped on July 29, is a preview of Bentley’s upcoming yet to be titled tenth studio album. Bentley’s previous studio album was The Mountain four years ago. He released two non-album singles “Gone” and “Beers on Me” in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Bentley co-wrote the song with his frequent collaborators Ashley Gorley, Luke Dick and Ross Copperman.

“It ain’t easy / Nobody said it would be / You finally find that greener grass / But you’re still in the weeds / Ain’t it crazy / All the time that you spend / Drivin’ through the rainbow for the pot at the end,” Bentley sings in the opening verse.

“The treatment for this music video almost wrote itself,” Bentley said in a recent release. “‘Gold’ is an optimistic reality check. I think we all wrestle with trying to get through the rocky parts of life and on to the next thing, but there are lots of special moments to cherish even in the middle of the tough stuff.”

In August, during an episode of Amazon Music‘s “Country Heat Weekly” podcast, Bentley revealed that his 14-track tenth studio album is on its way.
