Eamonn Holmes says ITV ‘most woke station of them all’

Eamonn Holmes today shared a heartbreaking photo of himself alongside his brothers, as they posed with their now-late mother Josephine.

The GB News host admitted since his mum’s death that life has “changed beyond recognition” in a “bad way”.

On his Instagram, he uploaded the bittersweet snap of his family and typed: “A couple of my brothers, me and Mum a year ago.

“Life ended for her and changed beyond recognition for me in a bad way.

“None of us know what’s around the corner. Live life well.”

Eamonn was left heartbroken back in November as he revealed that his beloved mum had died at the age of 93.

The TV host shared the news online at the time with a beautiful photo of Josephine, who was waving him off as he left her home on one occasion.

Posting a moving tribute, the star said: “My 4 amazing brothers and I said Goodbye for the last time to our beautiful Mum Josie this afternoon.

“She’s at last reunited with Daddy now. That is our only consolation.”(sic)

Eamonn has also spoken at length about the heartbreaking circumstances of how he lost his father in This Is My Life: Eamonn Holmes: The Autobiography.

Dad, Leonard, had been driving home from a trip to his caravan in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland, with Josephine and son Conor.

The star was not present at the time of his father’s death in 1991, as he was in London.

Eamonn wrote on Twitter: “As they waited for an ambulance, they kept talking to him until he became unconscious.

“They tried to resuscitate him but by the time the ambulance crew got there it was too late.

“At 65-years-old, before he could retire from work and spend many more days with Mum, a heart attack had taken my dad away from us.”
