EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley reveals glam new look after trip to stylist

EastEnders actress Lorraine Stanley has revealed her new elegant look after teaming up with a stylist this week.

Lorraine, known for playing Karen Taylor on the popular soap, posted a photo on Instagram showing the glam-up.

The 46 year old soap star was posing without makeup, showing off her long blonde hair in a selfie with her hair stylist. Lorraine was sporting a summery red dress with a beaming smile, giving a big thumbs up.

The character Lorraine plays, Karen, is famously known for wearing casual clothes with her hair normally swept up in a messy bun.

Lorraine showed off her new look on Instagram with the caption: "I'm back, thankyou!" the gratitude being aimed to her hair stylist who helped fashion the glamorous do.

In the photo she tagged hairdresser Amy Davidson, to shoutout her stylist for the glow-up.

According to a post on Amy's Instagram page, Lorraine's new new look was achieved with a half head of highlights and a 'chop'.

The new hair-do comes after the actress was reunited with her on-screen son Danny Walters – played by actor Keanu Taylor – as the two met for a pub lunch.

Lorraine has played Karen Taylor on BBC one's long running television program since 2017, first appearing on Albert Square in an episode on June 15.

The actress has previously wowed viewers with a different transformation. Lorraine left EastEnders fans in shock when she lost a dramatic amount of weight in a very short time.

Speaking to Carol Vordeman on ITV's Lorraine, she said: "I've lost 12lbs in six weeks.

"My mate Louisa is my fitness guru, I've got her to thank for it [because] she talks about nutrition."

Actress, Lorraine revealed she ate lots of protein to help her shift the pounds.

"I've eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken," she explained; foods that are all associated with a high-protein diet.

Lorraine went on to explain she had cut out sweet treats, citing crisps and chocolate as examples.

The soap-star also confirmed carbs were off the menu, in an effort to help her shed the weight.

She added: "No carbs, no crisps and chocolate."

Having admitted the journey was a challenge, the actress said: "I'm enjoying it and I feel better for it."

Lorraine's role as EastEnders series regular has seen her win or been shortlisted for several awards including the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer (2018) and Inside Soap Award for Funniest Female (2019).
