  • READ MORE: Inside Jamie Lynn Spears’ tumultuous relationship with her sister Britney as she QUITS I’m A Celeb

When Jamie Lynn Spears was confirmed as a campmate on this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were eager to hear what the star had to say about her relationship with famous sister Britney Spears.

The pair have had a tumultuous relationship and in the singer’s new memoir, The Woman In Me which was released last month, Britney accused Jamie Lynn of capitalising off her conservatorship.

The Zoey 101 star has now called it quits on her time down under in the latest scandal to hit what’s been the most dramatic series of the show yet, with Grace Dent’s exit and Nella Rose’s recent medical scare.

Jamie Lynn, has had a very emotional time and has frequently been filmed in floods of tears over the difficult conditions and missing her family back home.

Yet despite seeming to hold back at first, she eventually opened up about her and her sister’s relationship as she explained: ‘you know what, family’s fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.’

During her time in the camp, Jamie Lynn discussed her fractured relationship with her sister, insisting she’s learned not to speak publicly about any difficulties between her and her pop star sibling, 41, but admitted her family ‘fights better than most’.

American star Jamie claimed both she and Britney had ‘complicated’ upbringings which they’d both dealt with in different ways but, despite their differences, Britney would be ‘concerned’ about her suffering in the jungle.

She insisted Britney would be ‘checking on me heavily’ and would have been concerned about her daily crying at the start of this year’s ITV series.

In camp, Sam asked Jamie Lynn: ‘Do Britney’s kids really like you? Are you like the cool aunt? Do you think she’s watching you on this?’

Jamie Lynn said: ‘I can imagine she’d be worried about me on here. I think she’s probably checking in on me heavily.

‘I do think she’s probably like, “Why would she do that?” She asked me that before I came here, she was like, “You’re really going to do it?” I was like, “I’m going to go to Australia and check it out.”

‘My crying, she’d probably be like, “Ya’ll get her the f*** out of there, right now!” She’s a good big sister, she is.

‘Yeah, I love her. Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, family’s fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.’

Britney ‘has always been forced to play the role of mother to Jamie Lynn and still feels that sort of responsibility,’ a source previously said (the pair are pictured in 2003)

‘I’ve never, ever… I’ve been the one person in her life – and she can say this – I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, “I just want to be your sister”

Sam replied: ‘But everyone does man. Everyone’s got stuff they argue about all the time.’

Jamie Lynn said: ‘Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing. We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways.

‘Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have.

‘We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them.’

Before entering the jungle, the Toxic hitmaker was said to have imposed a strict ban on her sister Jamie Lynn, warning her not to mention her name as the pair attempt to rebuild their relationship.

The hitmaker reportedly finds it ‘sad’ that her estranged younger sister continues to use her stardom to make money, and has encouraged her to land contracts in her own right.

Jamie Lynn insisted ‘I love my sister’ when retired jockey Frankie Dettori, 52, asked her if it was true she and her older sister did not get along during Friday’s episode.

While Jamie Lynn did not deny rumours of a falling out, she did say she loved her sister, prompting the rest of her campmates to sit in silence after hearing her words.

Jamie Lynn also shared insight into Britney’s wacky rider during her Las Vegas residency,

Outside of her shows at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, The Hit Me Baby One More Time superstar stayed in a luxurious three-floor suite at the Rio, which had previously been inhabited by Elton John.

After Sam described to Jamie Lynn how he imagined her home life would be, she revealed Britney is a big fan of crawfish – and that it was her special request in Vegas.

‘So you know obviously we’re from Louisiana. We love crawfish. My sister and all us love crawfish so much but she only wanted like the good crawfish so the company in Louisiana would have them overnighted like in a box for her in an ice chest.

‘Daddy would get the right kind. You know they had to be the good kind and he’d have them alreadyt boiled and sent over to her and so she’d take them freezer zip locks and she’d freeze them in her freezer.’

She continued: ‘Even in Vegas she’d have crawfish, she would be in there eating crawfish in the Elton John suite.

‘Like you can imagine the rednecks had done come to town.’

Jamie Lynn also told Sam and EastEnders star Danielle Harold about her shock when Britney lost out on the Grammy to Christina Aguilera back in 2000.

‘She[Britney] was up for her first Grammy, it was her and Christina. Britney was clearly the bigger star of that year she had worked her a** off.

‘They had like MTV camera crews all these people at home watching, her family because they were like it’s a no brainer she is winning and she lost.

Jamie Lynn also discussed her sister’s infamous kiss with Madonna with First Dates Fred Sirieix

‘I was a normal kid sometimes I would see these things. I didn’t care what my sister did anything my sister did I thought was the best,’ she said (pictured in 2001)

‘[Britney] was at the award show. We were like [shocked face]. I was so young. I was probably eight or seven or something I just remember being like this is crap.’

She continued: ‘Christina won it and by the way Christina is wonderfully talented but that year I mean c’mon Britney was it, Like yeah it’s Britney b***h. Like always’

‘She was really like I never want to go to the Grammy’s and she was heartbroken about that because her whole life had been dedicated to winning that.’

Making her way around the camp, she also discussed her sister’s infamous kiss with Madonna with First Dates Fred Sirieix.

Fred asked: ‘I was just thinking remember when she kissed Madonna, how did it come about this?’

Jamie Lynn: ‘They just did it. I was at home watching like oh okay this will be fun tomorrow at school. Can’t wait.

‘I was a normal kid sometimes I would see these things. I didn’t care what my sister did anything my sister did I thought was the best.

‘When it came to my sister if anybody said anything about it I was ready to go. Like don’t talk about my sister she is the best and so literally I thought, and by the way I mean in today’s world it would mean nothing, but it was just this iconic moment that they went with and it happened and thats what they did.’

‘What did your parents say?’ asked Fred.

‘My mom was like it’s artistic she’s expressing herself,’ as the campmates burst out laughing.

‘I mean the kiss between Madonna and Britney, it’s iconic, it’s one of the most famous kisses in the world. And I just wanted to find out how it happened behind the scenes,’ explained Fred.

‘Britney banned Jamie Lynn from talking about her,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘She told her to, for once, make her money without feeling the need to use her sister’s name to get a contract.

‘For Jamie Lynn’s entire career, every show, every appearance, every interview is Britney, Britney, Britney. It’s just sad.’

The insider cited Jamie Lynn’s short-lived spot on Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test – which aired a clip of Jamie Lynn in tears while discussing her self-esteem issues brought on by being Britney’s sister.

‘The producers used it as an opportunity for her to dish on Britney and she did, tears and all. It was perfect for what they needed out of her,’ the source continued.

It comes just two days after Grace Dent decided to leave the jungle on Monday, after ‘losing all her energy’ in camp and reaching breaking point as she faced the prospect of doing another Bushtucker Trial.

Within three hours of the announcement being made Grace was spotted at Brisbane Airport as she made her return to the United Kingdom.

The 50-year-old food critic refused to talk to press at the airport and kept her head down as she rushed through the terminal.
