FYI, Billie Eilish Secretly Used a Body Double During Her Coachella Headliner Performance 👀

Billie Eilish just dropped a pretty major bombshell in a recent interview with Matt Wilkinson for Apple Music 1. Remember her epic Coachella headliner performance? Yeah, she used a body double for a part of it. The singer dished it was actually one of her dancers who was onstage for, like, multiple minutes (!!) and tricked everyone (myself included, dw) into thinking she was Billie.

“I dressed her up in a show look that I had worn before. We got a black wig and we put buns in it and we gave her a mask and sunglasses and she wore my shoes and my socks,” Billie admitted. “I put her up at the back of the stage and she stood there while the lights went on and everybody thought it was me. And nobody ever knew it wasn’t me, literally nobody knew. And while she’s up there, I put on a big black coat and a traffic vest and a hood and just glasses,” she continued. Color me fooled!

Clips from the “Bad Guy” singer’s April performance seem to confirm the recent revelation. If you look at the footage, you’ll see a lookalike standing on the stage as Billie gives an introductory sequence with snippets of songs “Oxytocin” and “Happier Than Ever.” Un-shockingly, the person’s face isn’t actually visible until roughly two minutes into the set, when the track “Bury a Friend” begins to play.

Earlier this month, Billie and her brother Finneas debuted a new song titled “TV” during a concert in Manchester, England. “We haven’t played a new song live before it’s out since 2017 or 2018. This is one we just wrote, and we just wanted to play for you,” the Grammy winner said before she launched into the ballad. The song not only references her recent split with Matthew Tyler Vorce, but it also touches on the now-infamous Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation suit and Roe v. Wade being overturned by SCOTUS.

“Maybe I should get some sleep/Sinking in the sofa while we all betray each other…What’s the point of anything?/All of my friends are missing again/That’s what happens when you fall in love…The internet’s gone wild watching movie stars on trial/While they’re overturning Roe v. Wade,” are some of the song’s emotional and gripping lyrics. Since Billie’s song comes on the heels of a truly revolting SCOTUS ruling, and there’s no doubt she’ll continue to use her platform to speak out against it.
