Glastonbury fans compete to have best tent – with one bringing four poster bed

Glastonbury 2023 has been in full swing all weekend, and a new high standard for tents has been set. Since kicking off on Friday, it's become clear that a little pop-up number just doesn't quite cut it anymore!

One particular festival-goer has even ditched his rusty old sleeping bag for, you heard it, an entire double bed.

The Glastonbury fan took to Twitter to show off his rather plush set-up, which featured a white wooden bed frame with a comfortable mattress, duvet, and pillows on top. The social media user uploaded a photo of his impressive bedroom, which he said was "worth" the effort.

After five trips from the car to the campsite and an overall six-mile walk in the "blazing sun," the camper was over the moon to have a cosy bed to collapse in after a long day of partying.

His tweet, which has received 6K likes, said: "5 trips from car to campsite, 6 miles walked in the blazing sun, but omg it was worth it!!" #glastonbury2023 #glastonburyfestival."

Fans of the festival took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the extraordinary camping setup.

"This might possibly be the most outlandish thing I've seen in a tent in Glastonbury," one fan gushed. "An actual bed. Great work."

"Absolutely SMASHED IT," another added. "Epic effort! I love this!", a fellow fan beamed: "Yes omg this amazing!"

While another Twitter user penned: "You’re going to be crying on Monday when you have to pack that up again!"

To which the glamping guru replied: "I think i might auction it off and someone else deal with it…."

While on TikTok this year's fellow Glastonbury goers showed off their own version of a more luxurious tent, including boho string lantern lights, an additional porch area and hanging mirrors.

So far, Made in Chelsea's Olivia Bentley and her co-star Verity Bowditch made a grand entrance at Glastonbury this weekend, arriving at the iconic music festival by helicopter.

The reality star TV duo added a touch of glamour to the muddy fields, capturing attention with their VIP-worthy arrival.

They showcased their festival fashion as they posed next to the vibrant blue helicopter in the Glastonbury fields. Olivia wore a dazzling gold halter neck top, paired with denim shorts and cowboy boots.

Meanwhile, Verity opted for a bohemian look, donning white shorts, black boots, and a crochet cardigan. Olivia captioned the post: “Coming in hot @glastofest”, followed by a flame emoji.

Olivia also shared a look behind-the-scenes of their unconventional journey to the festival, with the pair posing in the back of a taxi before taking off on the chopper.

The pair snacked on pretzels and drank tinned cocktails during their flight, uploading the clips to their social media pages.

In a selfie posted to her own Instagram story, Verity wrote: “@cornise didn’t miss this years” with a helicopter emoji, adding, “thank you Pilot”.
