Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are on their “last chance” before they may be “cut off” from the Royal Family altogether, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently returned to the UK to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and, while they appeared all-smiles at the event, an expert has claimed that all was not rosy behind the scenes.
Author Duncan Larcombe of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, stated his belief that the couple are facing a final test with the Royal Family that will determine the future of their relationship with them.
"The test really begins now for Harry and Meghan,” Mr Larcombe told Closer magazine.
“They have come to the UK and to the Jubilee and really cemented themselves as royals again – which is great for their brand and something that Spotify, Netflix and Penguin will be eating up.
"But everything now depends on their behaviour moving forward. Clearly, an olive branch has been extended by the Royal Family here. Harry and Meghan would ruin that if any private information about this weekend was spoken to the press or revealed in a book.
"It’s last-chance saloon for them now. If anything from the weekend leaked, I imagine they will be totally cut off and that’ll be it."
The royal expert’s predictions come after it was reported that Harry was left “furious” after he and Meghan were “ignored” by brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton at the Platinum Jubilee service at St Paul’s on 3 June.
It was also reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge failed to attend Harry's daughter Lilibet’s first birthday celebration, after he and Meghan reportedly invited the royal couple.
Daily Mirror' royal editor Russell Myers spoke of how the snub added more tension between the two couples as he told Australia’s Today Show: "I can imagine that he [Harry] might be a bit perturbed from what had happened. I mean, he was completely ignored.
He added: "There were some pictures of [Harry and Meghan] keeping a low profile at Trooping the Colour. There is some long lenses of them mixing with the family, Meghan, sort of, looking forlorn on her own.
"I was sitting, you know, a few feet away from Harry and Meghan, when William and Kate came in, and Charles and Camilla, there was no eye contact whatsoever."
