Helen Skelton seen with mark on cheek after being caught up in brawl following night out

Helen Skelton has been seen sporting a mark on her cheek after recently being caught up in a brawl in Leeds following a night out.

The TV presenter, 39, was photographed leaving a hotel in Manchester on 29 January with a mark on her face, but it was reported that she hadn't been hurt in during the incident, which took place in the early hours of the morning.

Helen could be seen carrying her baby daughter Elsie as she exited the hotel on Sunday, wearing a cosy cream fur jacket and black leggings with knee high boots.

The mum-of-three wore her blonde locks tied back and accessorised with chunky gold earrings and a bracelet.

Helen was among those innocently caught up in a 3am street brawl after heading out with her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars in Leeds.

The cast of the Strictly live tour had performed earlier the same night at the First Direct Arena, before a number of stars headed out to Leeds city centre to enjoy a night out.

The group, which included TV presenter Helen, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds and singer Molly Rainford, are said to have stumbled upon the violent fight as they walked back to the Dakota hotel at around 3am.

In images obtained by The Sun the group were snapped as they walked to their hotel, while a photo showed Helen dodging a bottle before hiding in an alleyway as she waited for the police.

A source told the publication: "Helen and her co-stars were walking home when they stumbled on a brutal fight which saw a bottle being thrown. Helen was shocked at the violence in front of her, but was pleased the police were on hand."

They continued: “None of the Strictly people were involved in the fighting, they were innocent passers-by caught up in it. A bottle came close to hitting Helen, smashing right by her feet, but she jumped out of the way. She hid in the alleyway for a few seconds until the coast was clear, but she looked shaken afterwards."

The insider clarified that the fight was between two groups of men, and that the Strictly stars just happened upon it as they made their way back to the hotel.

They added that police officers arrived quickly and one man appeared to get arrested and put into a police car.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 2.56am on Friday, police were called to a report of a fight involving a group of males in Duncan Street and Call Lane in Leeds city centre.

"Officers attended and arrested a man on suspicion of affray.

"He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing. There were no reports of any injuries."

OK! has approached Helen's representatives for comment.
