Holly Willoughby goes completely make-up free to expose ‘bane of my life’ issue

Holly Willoughby shared her skin struggles in an Instagram Live on Wednesday, revealing her skin pigmentation is the "bane of my life".

The 42 year old, who finally reunited with co-star Phillip Schofield on This Morning on Monday, went live to her 8.2 million followers on the social media app to share a step-by-step make-up tutorial, where she also shared some skincare tips.

Holly went make-up free to film the video and sported a pair of white silk pyjamas with her signature blonde locks pinned back with clips.

She stressed the importance of SPF and Vitamin C to fans as she pointed out a pink mark across her cheek, saying: "Because look, can you see this here? This is my pigmentation, which is the bane of my life."

Advising fans how to prevent and avoid skin pigmentation, Holly said: "Now, if it was daytime, which it is not, I would now put on my SPF on but I'm not going to do that. If any of you are young, which I'm sure you are, please remember to put your SPF on."

After pointing out her own skin pigmentation, she then added: "I'm permanently looking, vitamin C is really good for pigmentation, they've got this oxygen face mask thing and it's really, really good.

"I'm sort of starting that but your first defence against pigmentation is not letting it happen in first place."

Holly took part in the live tutorial to advertise her new Holly-Day Makeup Edit with beauty brand Beauty Pie, which contains a number of her favourite products at a discounted price.

The mum-of-three's post comes after she reunited with Phillip Schofield on This Morning for the first time in a month on Monday.

The two stars have been apart of late after Phillip, 61, took some time off during his brother Timothy’s court trial.

He returned to the show last week, but Holly contracted shingles and was forced to take a week off from This Morning, with Rochelle Humes filling in for her.

On Friday, Holly announced she was finally "feeling better" as she thanked fellow host Dermot O'Leary for bringing her round some soup and a sandwich on social media.

She then returned to screens on Monday and admitted she'd half a "wobbly week and a half" after contracting shingles.

Upon her return, Holly said: “It is nice to be back. Good to see you… I had a wobbly week and a half as anyone who has had it would know.”
