Holly Willoughby steps out of Decathlon during her holiday to Portugal

Holly Willoughby looks effortlessly chic in a frilled yellow dress as she steps out of Decathlon during her summer holiday to Portugal

Holly Willoughby looked effortlessly chic as she did a spot of shopping at Decathlon during her family summer holiday to Portugal on Friday.

The TV presenter, 42, usually jets off to Portugal with her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin and their three children every summer, and has done so again this year.

However, it was claimed Holly and Phillip Schofield could be set for an awkward run in on the Algarve as sources said Phillip is planning a trip to his nearby villa, while Holly is currently at her £2million holiday home.

But Holly appeared to be in good spirits as she flashed a smile while running errands at Decathlon during her sun-soaked getaway with her family.

For the outing, Holly looked as stylish as ever in a pastel yellow summer dress with a frilled neckline and straps.

She styled her glamorous dress with a pair of brown strapped sandals and simply accessorised with a shell anklet.

The This Morning host shielded her eyes with a pair of square black sunglasses and kept her essentials in a brown shoulder bag.

She was seen leaving the shop with a Decathlon bag in one hand as she appeared to have had a successful shopping trip as she loaded up her car.

Holly often spends time at her £2million Portuguese holiday home with her family and, for many years, she has done so with former co-host Phillip at his adjacent villa.

However, following Phillip’s scandal two months ago – when he admitted he had an affair with a much younger colleague – Holly has decided to take an extra long break until autumn, according to The Sun.

But things could be set to get even more awkward after Phillip has revealed will not sell his Portuguese home and will continue to enjoy sunshine breaks there.

Sources have claimed Phillip is planning a trip at his villa, which is situated on the exclusive resort despite his and Holly’s bust up – which began when he didn’t tell her about his brother’s court case, which saw him being found guilty of sexually abusing a teenage boy over a three-year period.

Phillip told MailOnline: ‘We have absolutely no intention of selling our family home in Portugal.’

Sources say that he will continue to holiday there as he, his wife Stephanie and their two daughters Molly, 30 and Ruby, 27, ‘absolutely love it there’.

One said: ‘Phil loves his time on the Algarve and will be going back there very soon which obviously means there is a very big chance that he will run into Holly.

‘It is very sad, they enjoyed some really happy and fun times there together but why shouldn’t he go back?

‘They both own their homes and neither will be backing down. Can you just imagine how awkward it will be though? Phillip is desperately sorry for hurting Holly and essentially ending their friendship, he has apologised to her but equally it is hard for her to forgive it all.’

Phillip’s holiday home boasts a swimming pool, beach views and a spacious terrace where he has previously entertained Holly and her family.

They were once so close that Phillip would enjoy dinners with Dan, while Holly would have ‘girls nights’ with her former co-star’s daughters and wife Stephanie.

Both Phillip and Holly have shared pictures of their holidays on their social media, along with other stars such as Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall and Bradley Walsh.

Holly jetted out to the Algarve in May after Phillip was ousted from This Morning.

When Holly returns from her long holiday in September, This Morning will be centred around the presenter, after ITV bosses decided not to make a big money hiring to replace Phillip Schofield.

The Daily Mail revealed the star will have rotating co-hosts when she fronts the under-threat show from Monday to Thursday, rather than chiefs poaching a bigger star from a rival show or channel.

Insiders at This Morning say that they will mostly be Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle, though Holly will be joined sporadically by Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, who currently host on Fridays and holidays.

It means that Holly’s dream that she would be paired with Alison, 48, is over because she is too busy to commit to working four days on the daytime show, insiders said.

Holly is to sign a new contract ‘any day now’, which will be even more lucrative than the £700,000 deal that she is already on, it has been claimed.
