I'm A Celeb producers 'spoke to Nella Rose' after Nigel Farage clash

The REAL reason I’m A Celebrity’s stopped arguing with Nigel Farage after fiery clash

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! producers reportedly had a ‘gentle’ word with Nella Rose after her fiery clash with Nigel Farage.

The YouTuber, 26, recently confronted the former UKIP leader, 59, over their differing political opinions, calling him ‘anti-immigrant’ in a tense row, but in recent days, they have appeared to be on calmer terms.

It followed the ‘Dadgate’ saga, when she claimed Fred Sirieix had ‘disrespected’ her when he said he was old enough to be her father after she spoke about her own father’s death.

But it has been claimed that producers have checked in with Nella after her clash with Nigel to remind her to enjoy herself and ‘have a laugh’ amid the ‘tough time’.

A source told The Sun: Nella is feisty and fun — and she won’t take any nonsense from or her campmates.

‘But seeing her butting heads with Nigel means she’s been having a tough time. Producers have spoken to Nella and reminded her to enjoy the experience and keep having a laugh.

‘Life in camp can be gruelling and sometimes the stars forget it is meant to be fun too.’

The source went on to say that producers check in with the campmates every day for their wellbeing and want to see more of Nella’s ‘hilarious’ side in the camp.

MailOnline has contacted Nella’s representatives and ITV for comment.

Last week, Nella claimed that black people ‘don’t like’ Nigel Farage in a tense row where she also called him ‘anti-immigrant’.

In the argument, she said: ‘I’m one of them’ – a nod to her birth in Belgium to Congolese parents before arriving in the UK in 2009.

Nigel asked her: ‘Who told you that?’, to which Nella replied: ‘The internet’, prompting the politician to exclaim: ‘Oh, well there we are then it must be true’.

Nella then said: ‘It must be! OK, but then why don’t black people like you?’ but Nigel hit back with: ‘If you came with me through South London, you’d be astonished.’

Nella asked: ‘So everyone hates you for no reason? Not that everyone hates you, that was so bad. Sorry.’

Nigel – who has previously denied being racist – replied: ‘You can disagree with somebody, but to chuck around accusations the way they’ve been chucked around is grossly unfair. Anti-immigrant, right? No, no, all I’ve said is we cannot go on with the numbers coming to Britain that are coming.’

The row unfolded in front of EastEnders star Danielle Harold in the washing area of the camp, who then tried to cut the ice by saying: ‘I didn’t expect to get involved in a full blown political debate. I only came for a bubble bath.’

Nella said to Nigel: ‘My main point was that we’ve got into this jungle and I really like you and I want to know why everyone hated you.

‘We don’t have to come to a common ground. You probably like a lot of things that I don’t like. And I probably like a lot of things that you don’t like…we can have these conversations.’

The pair ended their exchange by ‘agreeing to disagree’ on their views, with Nella noting that they ‘don’t have to come to a common ground.’

In the Bush Telegraph, Nigel said: ‘What was interesting was at the end of it she said, ”Well, OK, we’re going to agree to disagree.” And that’s the important thing, agreeing to disagree.’

Nella later insisted she didn’t have an ‘issue’ with Nigel and told him: ‘Let’s just not be the best of buds, because clearly we’re just from two different sides of the world and you’ll never understand my issues and struggles.’

She took offence because she had earlier spoken about how her father had died and so refused to speak or look at the French TV personality or eat the food he cooked in camp.

However things appeared to thaw between the pair, despite Fred previously apologising, as the pair finally bonded after beating Marvin Humes and Nick Pickard in a basketball challenge.
