I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! draws in TWO MILLION more viewers than last year as show returns to the Australian jungle for the first time since 2019
The first episode of the new I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! got an audience of over 10 million people at its peak on Sunday night – up two million from last year’s launch.
As the hit ITV show returned to the nation’s screens from Australia for the first time since 2019, Ant and Dec fronted the biggest entertainment launch of any channel for the entire year.
Official figures have revealed that the show racked up 10.3million TV viewers at the first night’s peak, with a total of 9.1million watching the entire episode.

This makes I’m A Celeb ITV’s biggest overnight audience since last year’s Euros and the biggest programme launch on any channel this year, excluding national and sporting events.
The numbers are two million up from last year, when the show was filmed in Gwrych Castle in Wales as travel restrictions prevented journeying Down Under.
With two million 16-34 TV viewers across the show, last night’s I’m A Celebrity is also the biggest 16-34 audience of the year, across any programme or channel.
Even the special I’m A Celebrity episode of The Masked Singer peaked with 4.8million viewers on Sunday night.

I’m A Celebrity! Get Me Out Of Here… returned to the Australian outback for the first time in three years on Sunday night as 10 new campmates arrived for the latest series of the gruelling ITV series.
It saw former Love Island star Olivia Attwood, 31, and radio legend Chris Moyles, 48, given a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ as they faced the ultimate skydive entrance.

Chris and Olivia had been enjoying their meal when they received some information, which read: ‘Olivia and Chris, we hope you enjoyed your meal.
‘It’s now time to begin your journey into camp and as VIPs you’re going to get a taste of the high life by jumping out of a chopper at 10,000ft.’
After completing the jump first, an emotional Olivia said: ‘Oh my god I’m crying, that’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever done, ever. That is incredible. Top 10 experience of my life. Just amazing.’
Taking in her surroundings she added: ‘I didn’t expect to be landing on a beach – where the hell are we?’
Fresh from his jump and joining her on the beach, Chris said: ‘I’m so happy to be on the ground. Seriously, I’ll eat a sheep’s anus any day rather than do that again.’

As stars including Boy George and Chris Moyles began their jungle journey, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed there will be two extra arrivals to the camp and poked fun at Tory MP Matt Hancock.
Viewers at home were delighted by the comeback of the hit show, admitting that it felt like ‘normal service had resumed’ after filming returned to Australia following two years in north Wales.
Show fans were delighted to see the scenes in Queensland, with many taking Twitter to express their joy.
