I’m A Celeb: Nella Rose clashes with Fred Sirieix
YouTube star Nella Rose was “playing to the cameras” after lashing out at First Dates’ Fred Sirieix last night on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, a body language expert has claimed.
ITV viewers were shocked to see Nella slam Fred for a seemingly innocent comment, which he later apologised for.
The social media star was left feeling “disrespected” and “offended” after Fred told her he was old enough to be her father, as she had recently opened up about her own father’s sad death.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, body language expert Darren Stanton told Express.co.uk that Nella Rose came across as “a little bit too sensitive” during yesterday’s episode.
“Nella appeared upset but I think she was playing to the cameras a little bit,” Darren said.

“She was showing a little bit of anger, but it wasn’t complete rage, as though someone had deeply offended her. I think she misunderstood what Fred meant.
“I don’t think Fred intended to offend Nella. While she appeared to take it to heart, I think she was a little bit too sensitive. Fred is a nice guy.
“He’s not playing any sort of mind games or has a strategy. He’s a genuine guy. He has a helpful and nurturing nature.
“However, it’s clear that he isn’t afraid to have opinions or stand his ground,” he continued. “He’s not a pushover, but for those who need support, he’ll be there for them.
“I definitely think he was genuine when he apologised to Nella. He was speaking from the heart.

Speaking about the YouTuber, Darren reflected: “Nella comes over as happy-go-lucky character, but we’ll start to see a lot more chinks in her armour as the days go on.
“I don’t think she’s a forgiving person. I think she will find it difficult to move on from the situation. In the jungle you have to deal with tension and move on, you can’t harbour things.
“She said herself that Fred wasn’t the sort of person that she wants to be around. I don’t feel that is very fair.
“I don’t think Fred comes over as a nasty person. He didn’t intend to upset her, but she took it the wrong way. The mood was a little bit funny in camp afterwards.
“I can’t see Nella staying that much longer. I don’t think she’s got the right skills to survive in that sort of environment.”
Nella previously opened up about her father’s tragic death in 2020, which came as a huge blow, as she had already lost her mother when she was aged just 19.
Claiming Fred had been aware of her family tragedy, she blamed him for upsetting her with comments he made about their age difference.
In a conversation about their ages, the 51-year-old French star told the 26-year-old that he was old enough to be her dad, which left her feeling “disrespected”.
She told the Bush Telegraph afterwards: “I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away. I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it.”
She also later confronted Fred, calling him “disrespectful” and saying: “I don’t want to eat no food that you’re cooking, don’t talk to me, you stay over there, I stay over here and we can live.”
Fred apologised to her, explaining: “I am unaware that you felt offended. I am unaware that what I said would lead to this conversation, I only said that in a way because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26.”
