James Haskell has been spotted cosying up to another woman just months before confirming his five year marriage to Chloe Madeley is over. 

The former rugby player, 38, drew a line under her marriage in a joint statement shared with Instagram followers on Saturday, putting an end to weeks of speculation regarding the state of their relationship.

James was all smiles as a female fan gazed adoringly at him and placed a hand on his chest in the snaps, obtained by The Sun.

The pair bundled up in padded coats as they chatted outside of a bar before heading inside.

The publication reported that the sports star turned DJ was booked to play at an event in popular ski resort Morzine when the photos were taken and shared online.

MailOnline has contacted James’ representatives for comment. 

It comes after Haskell was forced to deny any wrongdoing after being pictured looking friendly with a female companion following a late night at popular Marylebone venue Chiltern Firehouse.

At first glance, anyone spotting the former rugby player face-to-face with a blonde-headed female on a crowded pavement at 1:30am could be forgiven it was latest in a long line of public appearances with his wife.

But the woman in question was actually high society public relations beauty Martine Bridge, a hitherto unknown close friend who works for PR firm Bridging London.

A source told MailOnline: ‘The woman in the photos with James is Martine Bridge.

‘She’s a hugely successful businesswoman, running her own PR firm, with plenty of celebrity and high society connections. She’s wealthy and certainly at the top of her game.

‘James and Martine have known each other for years and socialise in the same circles.

‘They follow each other on Instagram, it seems likely they will stay connected, at least on social media.’

A spokesperson for James has denied any wrongdoing, with a representative for him saying Martine is a friend of his group, after Chloe was seen without her wedding ring just hours after the photographs emerged.

They said: ‘The woman pictured is a friend of James’s group who he just met that night. They were simply having a conversation outside so there is nothing to this.’

It comes shortly after Chloe made her first public appearance on Sunday morning since confirming her split with James.

The mother-of-one is understood to be staying with her TV presenter parents while Haskell remain at the marital home.

While Madeley was making her first appearance since confirming their separation, the former rugby player was sharing photos of their 14-month old daughter Bodhi on social media.

In a joint update shared to Instagram, they announced: ‘Chloe and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September, 2023.

‘We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.’

She added: ‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.

Family: ‘James Haskell is still living at the family home in Hampstead, he arrived back on Monday and was still there yesterday morning,’ a source told MailOnline

Captioning the post, he wrote: ‘Bodhi keeping the drive bye high-fives tight.’

A source told MailOnline: ‘James Haskell is still living at the family home in London, he arrived back on Monday and was still there yesterday morning.’

Madeley did not reveal the split while promoting her ITV show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair but instead talked about their marriage as if they were still together.

One friend of the couple told MailOnline: ‘It is all so weird, and it all seems rather rum that Chloe did a round of interviews and talked very openly about her life and the marriage but she failed to say that she and James had split despite her television show being all about her family life.’
