James Martin, 50, took to Twitter to pay tribute to Sarah Harding, a year on from her death. The Girls Aloud singer was just 39 when she died from breast cancer last September.
On his social media, the chef uploaded a picture of the blonde beauty who was pictured looking glamorous at an event as she smiled for the camera.
In view of his 721,000 followers, he commented: “Tonight I raised a glass to a lost friend an amazing person and soulmate and a superstar.
“Big Lv and as pink would say you f ing perfect … j x.”(sic)
The emotional post prompted many of his fans to send him supportive messages.
Tracy Creedy commented: “Sorry for your loss James. She must have left a huge gap in your life.
“To lose a loved one so early in her life is shocking this day and age and just shows us even though we have developed some cures for cancer we still can’t save everyone, yet. But, with enough research we will.”
Sophia wrote: “What a beautiful tribute to your friend. She is with you no matter what. Our loved ones never, ever leave us.
“They only leave us in the physical form.”
Annabella Sharkey added: “Such a beautiful tribute to your friend, she was beautiful inside and out, and she will always be with you x.”
Last year, the chef shared an emotional message about their memories together after learning of her death.
He wrote at the time: “Thank you for brightening my life.
“We laughed, we cried, we cooked together and Jesus we drank and I loved every moment.

Sarah’s Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh also spoke out on the special day to remember her friend yesterday.
She commented: “Sarah passed away a year ago. I can still hardly believe it to be honest but it feels more real than ever today.
“Thinking of her always and of everyone who loved and miss her too.”
Last month, she and bandmates Cheryl, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts took part in race for life for Sarah.
The singers rose to fame on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and went on to become a chart-topping group for seven years together.
Sarah made her breast cancer diagnosis public in August 2020 in an emotional Instagram post where she posed from her hospital bed. At that point, it had spread to other parts of her body.
On September 5th 2021, her mother Marie announced she had died surrounded by her loved ones.
