EastEnders' Archie Mitchell flashback actor already held role on soap – with a revolting twist | The Sun

LOYAL EastEnders fans may have recognised one of the new faces in the latest flashback episodes – but not for the reason you think.

Henry Garrett is currently appearing as a young Archie Mitchell in the special flashback episodes of the BBC One soap which has revived other legendary characters such as Peggy Mitchell, played by Jamie Winstone.

But this isn’t the first time fans of EastEnders will have seen Henry on the show as he has another interesting connection to his current character of Archie Mitchell.

In a shocking twist, Garrett appeared in Archie Mtichell’s (Larry Lamb) debut episode in 2008 as his gardener.

Not only this, his 2008 character enjoyed a steamy fling with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) – Archie’s on-screen daughter.

This surprising twist of events means that Henry has played both a lover and a father of the same character.
