James Taylor and his All-Star Band have been forced to postpone three shows on his North American tour this week due to a severe case of laryngitis.
Due to a severe case of laryngitis, doctors have put Taylor on strict vocal rest and advised him to reschedule his performances this week in Huntsville, Alabama; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, to the second half of August.
These shows have been rescheduled to August 22 (Orion Amphitheater, Huntsville), August 24 (Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati) and August 26 (Soaring Eagle Outdoor Amphitheatre, Mt. Pleasant).
“James here, I really hate to have to postpone these shows and it’s not something I take lightly,” Taylor said. “I thought I could push through but I’m at the point now if I don’t take these days off I risk doing permanent damage.”
“So very sorry to everyone who has tickets this week, I hope you’re able to hold onto your tickets for the new dates,” he continued. “I look forward to picking the tour back up in Milwaukee on Saturday.”
Taylor has promised to honor all previously purchased tickets for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds have been urged to reach out to their point of purchase.
