Joe Swash hits back at irritable passengers after claiming he got ‘dirty looks’ while travelling by plane with Stacey Solomon and their five children during family holiday
Joe Swash has hit back at irritable plane passengers after he was dad-shamed during a family holiday.
The TV presenter, 41, admitted he and his TV presenter wife Stacey Solomon are often victims of dirty looks while travelling by air with their five children.
He told The Sun: ‘You know, I’m like on the plane with five kids, and it happens quite a lot that people look angry about it. I’m always like ‘Come on, mate, I’m the one with the five kids and I don’t want these kids to be crying either’.
‘Anyone who has kids has been in that situation though,’ he added.
The former EastEnders star spoke in defence of his family after Stacey, 33, shared a family snap last month as they jetted off for a summer break – but fans were quick to spot some irritating behaviour from a passenger.

Uncomfortable: The TV presenter, 41, has confessed how he and his wife Stacey Solomon are often victims of dirty looks while on a plane with their five children
In the picture, the Loose Women star is captured smiling alongside Joe as they hold their two little daughters, Rose and Belle.
‘And so the adventure begins. So excited for ten days of summer with my whole world. P.S the big boys are here too they were just asleep as soon as we got on the plane,’ she captioned her post.
Although the couple can be seen showing off a huge smile, fans quickly noticed that the passenger sitting behind Stacey had their bag hooked onto the back of her seat.
Pointing out that it could have been uncomfortable for her, one fan wrote: ‘Has the person behind you put a bag on your head rest? That would be straight off. Irritating the back of my head.’
The family enjoyed some time off on a 10-day trip with their children Rex, 4, Rose, one and Belle, 22 months – as well as Stacey’s eldest boys Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from her previous relationships.
And Stacey as well didn’t hold back from hitting back at trolls after another very recent controversy – who once again put the family under the spotlight.
The former XFactor star took to her Instagram to slam haters who cruelly branded ‘annoying’.
The singer previously posted a chaotic video in which she wished her followers a ‘happy Saturday’ before forgetting the time and having a dirty nappy thrown at her Joe.
Candid: ‘You know, I’m like on the plane with five kids, and it happens quite a lot that people look angry about it. I’m always like ‘Come on, mate, I’m the one with the five kids and I don’t want these kids to be crying either,’ the actor confessed
Hitting back: Stacey has hit back at a troll who cruelly branded her ‘annoying’
The hilarious moment didn’t go down well with one follower, but Stacey was quick to pull them up on their ‘nasty’ remark, stating that her busy family life means she has ‘no time’ for naysayers.
Sharing a snap of herself as she cracked on with her cleaning, Stacey wrote: ‘The best thing about having 5 kids, 2 dogs and a Joe Swash is not having time for these types of people.
‘Never let anyone make you feel like crap. Their nastiness says everything about them and nothing about you.’
The TV personality also added a thoughtful quote which read: ‘You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, otherwise you’d be a mug.’
It comes after Stacey’s husband Joe hit back at criticism aimed at his wife Stacey after they jetted off on a luxurious £3,000-per-week getaway in Turkey.
The former I’m A Celebrity winner responded to the trolling by insisting they ‘work hard’ to earn the chance to enjoy the breaks and ‘spend time’ with their family.
‘We’re in the public eye so you’ve got to take the rough with the smooth and not everyone is going to agree with us,’ he told The Mirror.
‘We work really hard and we try to take our kids on holiday. We only work hard so we can spend more time and do more things with our family.
‘People are going to have a go but it’s fine they’re allowed their opinion and we take it with a pinch of salt.’
His comments come after Stacey appeared to hit back at her haters urging them to ‘unfollow’ her if her posts don’t make them feel good.
In an Instagram story post, Stacey wrote: ‘I’ll do a little holiday Q&A while I’m on my way to work tomorrow night so feel free to ask away.’
The Loose Women star added: ‘If me sharing our holiday doesn’t make you feel good then unfollow or just mute me or something. I love coming on here and sharing things so much and I love our community on here.
‘All I ever want is to take you on the adventure with us and hopefully make you smile along the way.’
