Former Strictly Come Dancing professional star Janette Manrara has shared adorable snaps from her baby daughter Lyra Rose's birth, one week on.

The dancing star, 39, welcomed her beautiful baby girl Lyra Rose into the world last week alongside her husband and fellow former Strictly icon, Alijaz Skorjanec, 33.

The pair were all smiles as they met their daughter with one snap seeing the new mum and dad look lovingly into each other's eyes.

While the second image in the post saw both new parents plant a kiss onto their baby's head.

Along with the pictures, Janette captioned the post: "How is this 1 week ago already?! They say babies grow fast and to enjoy the newborn stage as much as possible. We’re doing exactly that!

"Happy 1 week Lyra. Mami and Ati are so in love with you."

In the pictures, their daughter Lyra Rose looks as comfortable as can be, nestled into her mother's arms as the new family get acquainted with each other.

Janette and Alijaz met six years ago in a London dance studio and have been together ever since.

Alijaz even decided to propose to Janette at the very same dance studio where they met.

Both the new mum and dad have been professional dancing stars in the BBC hit competition show Strictly Come Dancing.

The show pairs celebrities up with professional dancing partners and they battle it out for the coveted Strictly trophy.

The next series is due to come to our screens later this year but little is known about who is set to grace the ballroom.

Last year, wildlife photographer Hamza Yassin took the crown after dazzling crowds with his exceptional hips throughout the series.

In response to the heartfelt and emotional snap, many fans flocked to share their love and support for the family in the comments.

One person wrote: "God bless her she is the post beautiful little baby girl."

While another loving fan added: "Make sure you take lots of photos and print some off rather than keeping them on your mobiles . So nice to have a baby album."

A third penned: "Wow what a beautiful photo, an amazingly special moment captured."

Somebody else could not believe how fast the first week had gone as they wrote: "Wow 1 week already!! She is absolutely gorgeous."

While another simply wrote: "Awww, they grow and change so quickly. Enjoy these precious times."
