Katie Price's defence counsel, Nicholas Hamblin, has said the star has "two different personalities", and claimed the star behaves in a completely different way in the public to her "vulnerable" personal personal self during her court hearing today.
The reality TV star was handed an 18-month community order at Lewes Crown Court to carry out 170 hours of unpaid work after admitting breaching a restraining order.
The 43 year old was charged with breaching a restraining order after she sent a foul-mouthed message, calling her ex husband Kieran Hayler's fiancée Michelle Penticost a "gutter s**g" in a text to him.
Judge Stephen Mooney told Price: “In my judgement, this offence was committed out of anger. The words you used were highly offensive and inflammatory so the breach cannot be considered minor.
“In my judgement, balancing the aggravating and mitigating factors, the appropriate sentence is a medium-level community order.”
"She has perhaps two different personalities. One public and one personal and vulnerable. This offence is so different to the driving offence," the mum-of-five's representative told the court, also saying there is "no escape" for people in the public eye.
The lawyer went on to say, as reported by Sussex Live: "One has good days and bad days. There’s no escape. There’s always something there attempting to put a spin on it."
Mr Hamblin explained "there was a considerable problem in her life" at the time of Katie's offence, "however, she is having therapy and she is not acting impulsively".
The star's lawyer added: "Some people clearly know how to tempt or succeed in goading Ms Price."
Mr Hamblin also told the court Katie showed "clear signs of remorse" and that the messages, relating to Michelle, were aimed directly at her ex-partner, Kieran.
The former glamour model's lawyer went on to tell the court that from the date the restraining order was in place, in 2019, Katie and Michelle had had no other issues until 2022, and said: "Katie didn't start it."
In relation to her suspended sentence, Mr Hamblin said it would be "unjust" to group the restraining order breach and her previous offence, where she was given a suspended sentence in December 2021.
He said Katie has responded to the conditions of her previous order and has completed all unpaid work so far. The lawyer also said his client is willing to undertake further unpaid work and takes it "very seriously".

Mr Hamblin said: "This is a case that can be dealt with by a financial penalty and mark it with a community order," and told the court Katie's guilty plea is an "apology to Ms Penticost".
"It's the first twelve words that are why you are here today," Judge Mooney replied. "It was imposed for your harassment of Ms Penticost. It appears you have complied with this order for two and a half years."
Judge Mooney then sentenced Katie to a medium-level community order and she has also been ordered to pay £1,500 in costs over the next 28 days.
Her community service includes 150 hours, plus the 20 hours added in place of the breach of the restraining order.
Judge Mooney added: "It would be unjust to activate the suspended sentence order.”
