Katie Price ‘I’ll be momager to Princess so she doesn’t make my mistakes’

Katie Price has her eye on creating a Kardashian-style empire as she prepares to become “momager” to daughter Princess Andre.

A source told OK! that the 45-year-old ex-glamour model hopes to steer Princess, 16, through the “media circus” and help catapult her to success, while avoiding the mistakes she’s made herself. The move comes as mum and daughter prepare to embark on a UK-wide make-up masterclass tour.

“As well as taking care of Princess as her mum, Katie is also going to be her ‘momager’, looking after the business side of her career,” our source said.

“She looks at the likes of Kris Jenner and sees what she’s done with the Kardashian brand and she wants the same success for her own family."

They continued, "People always have been, and still are, fascinated by Katie, and that will probably never change, so she wants to use that interest to help Princess with her own career.”

The lookalike pair made waves in matching pink tops and jeans at last month’s Doll Beauty Gimme Tan launch party in Liverpool.

They have also been spending time with Princess’ teenage boyfriend, who was introduced to fans on her TikTok account this summer. Her father, Katie’s former husband Peter Andre, has said that as an as an overprotective dad, he was “really stressed out” about her dating.

While her 18-year-old brother Junior Andre has been enjoying success with his second single, Only One, which went straight to the top of the iTunes charts, Princess has been staying closer to mum and is looking to her for career advice, our source said.

“Katie 100% wants to mould a mini-me in Princess,” our source said. “They’ve already been going to events together and she can see the potential there to build a career for her eldest daughter.”

The pair recently announced a masterclass tour sharing their make-up looks and explaining how to recreate them from next month. Standard tickets cost £50, but they are also offering meet-and-greet VIP tickets with a photo opportunity for £80.

According to our source, this is just the beginning.

“The make-up masterclasses are just the start of what Katie thinks they can do as a team,” they said. “She’s thinking of make-up lines, teen fiction books, fashion collections, the whole lot.”

It was reported this year that Princess, who has 661,000 followers on Instagram, was set to sign a four-figure contract with fashion label PrettyLittleThing, joining the likes of Gemma Owen and Molly-Mae Hague as brand ambassadors. At the time, Peter said he would only be happy about it if “there’s no photo shoots or taking days off school”.

While nothing was confirmed publicly by the label, Princess’ social media accounts are filled with PLT haul videos and her Instagram photos featuring its clothes are often labelled as adverts, indicating she’s already reaping the rewards of her growing profile.

Katie is also mum to Harvey, 21, Jett, 10, and nine-year-old Bunny. She found fame at 18 as Page 3 model Jordan and had the first of many boob jobs a few years later.

While Princess might want to emulate some of her mum’s success, she’s already ruled out copying one element of her lifestyle – plastic surgery.

When a fan asked her recently whether she had plans to go under the knife when she turns 18, Princess responded, “Surgery-wise no, I would stay natural.”

Speaking of her daughter’s modelling ambitions, Katie would “always be there to support and guide her,” she has previously
told OK! . “I know when agents are taking advantage so I would always step in if I felt something wasn’t right for her,” she said. “I’m a protective mother and I make sure my cubs are looked after.”

Katie has also spoken about being taken advantage of herself at different stages in her life, particularly as a young model in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Our source said Katie’s experiences as one of the country’s most talked-about celebrities has probably armed her with the right tools to help Princess avoid pitfalls.

“Katie thinks no-one can guide Princess through the media circus better than she can,” they said. “She wants to be the one in control of what she does and when she does it. She also wants to help steer her away from making the same mistakes she made – she’s spoken a lot about her early days – and she doesn’t want Princess to repeat them.”
