Kehlani Confirms 070 Shake Breakup Rumors

The ‘Gangsta’ singer appears to confirm fans’ speculation that they and their girlfriend Shake are no longer romantically together after dating since May.

AceShowbizKehlani is most likely single. The “Honey” singer appeared to confirm fans’ speculation that they and their girlfriend 070 Shake are no longer romantically together.

During their performance at a club, a DJ asked if there were any newly single people in the club. Much to everyone’s surprise, the “Gangsta” hitmaker raised their hand even though they looked apprehensive before putting their hand in the air. Fans were screaming when they did.

A Twitter user shared a video from the moment. In the caption, the user wrote, “Baybeeee Kehlani confirmed that break up so we can stop playing detective lmao.”

The news received mixed reactions from fans. “I love Kehlani but why her relationships never last they were so cute,” a fan commented. Another fan added, “Now maybe it’s just me but honestly 070Shake didn’t seem like she was head over heals for Lani where as Lani always wore their heart on their sleeve when it came to Shake.”

Fans have been assuming the rumored split for the past month or so. They were convinced that the pair broke up after Kehlani deleted some pictures of their girlfriend from their Instagram account. Back in June, Kehlani posted to Instagram in celebration of “6 years of friendship [and] almost 1 year of love” with Shake, whose real name is Daniella Balbuena. However, the post has since been deleted.

The singer additionally posted cryptic Instagram Stories, one of which read, “Play stupid games win stupid prizes.” Not stopping there, fans noticed that the rumored exes, who previously showed off their affection in Kehlani’s “melt” music video, unfollowed each other on socials.

Kehlani and Shake confirmed their romance back in May. Prior to this, the “Altar” singer was romantically linked to Kyrie Irving, PARTYNEXTDOOR and YG. The songstress, whose pronouns are “she/they”, came out as a lesbian in April 2021.
