Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner are in the middle of their heated divorce settlement war.

The former handbag designer filed for divorce earlier this year on May 1, leaving the pair at odds with each other over a myriad of issues including their prenuptial agreement, child support, and their residential properties.

The former couple attended court in Santa Barbara on Thursday and Friday for a child support hearing, which ultimately went in Yellowstone star Kevin’s favour as a judge ordered him to pay an estimated £50,695 ($63,209) per month instead of the eyewatering £198,900 ($248,000) per month Christine was originally asking for.

Despite the animosity between them, both Kevin and Christine put on an emotional display while testifying during the proceedings, and discussed the next steps after the split.

Christine, who has now moved into a rental property costing an estimated £32,000 ($40,000) per month, stated she is considering going back to school for a college degree.

“I will look into the steps I need to take and any schooling I need to do, and I will enter the workforce,” the 49-year-old model said on the stand about how she’ll financially support herself in the future.

Then the Yellowstone star, 68, took the stand admitting “my world’s been a little shook up” as a result of the challenging divorce.

Addressing how he plans to move forward, the John Dutton actor pointed out: “I have to take care of obligations that are already in place, I have a lot of responsibilities I have to take care of.”

He then went into his own plans for the future.

“I need to figure out how I’m going to spend more time with the children, walk them through this process,” he went on to say.

Before candidly adding: “I am going to need to take some time for myself. I have a lot to contemplate — what I have to do versus what I want to do.”

His marriage isn’t the only thing coming to an end, as the Oscar-winning actor is also preparing to wave goodbye to his Yellowstone character John Dutton.

The critically acclaimed Taylor Sheridan-directed series will conclude with its fifth and final season, which has yet to start filming after being delayed by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

With Yellowstone soon to be over, Kevin can now focus on his other project, Horizon: An American Saga.

However, it appears he is apprehensive about the future of it, as he revealed in court that the upcoming movie is a “really big risk” for him, having invested so much into it.

Kevin and Christine will be back in court in November, to settle the validity of their prenuptial agreement.

Yellowstone is available to stream on Paramount+.
