Khloe Kardashian lets ex Tristan Thompson move back in after shock death of his mum

It's been revealed that Khloé Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson are living together once again in the wake of his mum's tragic death.

Aged just 53, Andrea Thompson passed away at the beginning of this year, and in the season 3 finale of Disney+ reality show The Kardashians, viewers bared witness to Khloé, 39, and her sister Kim Kardashian dropping everything to go and be with Tristan, 32, in Toronto after hearing the news.

"It's been a rough week and just really hard on everyone," said the pair's own mum Kris Jenner in one scene. "We're just really trying to wrap our heads around what just happened. I think we were all in shock."

"Really sadly, Tristan's mom passed away suddenly, and ever since then, it's just been really really hard and tough," reflected Khloé, who shares two children with the professional basketballer.

"Tristan called me, I didn't really understand what he was saying. He was just like screaming on the phone, trying to tell me that she's gone, but I had no idea who he was talking about. I was really close to Andrea. We spoke every single day.

"Andrea is only 53 years old and she leaves behind her four boys, Tristan, DeShaun, Daniel and Amari, and Amari is 16 and he is severely disabled and it's just really sad, because we don't know what he knows, or doesn't know, cognitively."

The action then fast-forwarded six days, with Kim revealing in confession: "So when we were in Toronto, we had to do everything from cleaning her apartment and finding everything from life insurance policies to how do you turn off phones and credit cards and the funeral.

"We just, you know, had to prep everything to bring Amari back. This is like a big huge life change and just so much to think about."

The mum-of-four, who is currently touring the various football friendlies around the globe with her son Saint, went on to highlight Khloé's sudden jolt of misfortune in a year that was supposed to be one of liberation.

"Isn't God just like funny?" she said. "How you were so ready to have your year of like being free and now, Tristan had to move in with you, his little brother had to move in with you, his roof caved in. What are the chances? You can't even… you know."

Khloé replied: "Here's number one slogan I always use. You want to make God laugh, tell him your plans."

Clarifying the unplanned situation she's now found herself in, the TV star went on to tell the cameras a little later: "Tristan and I are not back together. I know it's hard for everyone to believe, but I love love love Andrea and I love Tristan, I love Amari, and this is what family does.

"Tristan is the father of my kids, you know. I've lost my dad, and my dad was like a fairy tale parent, but still I can't wrap my head around losing my mom, and I know how close Tristan and his mom are, and it's just heartbreaking, and to be left with the responsibility of another person as well… it's a lot."
