Lana Del Ray fans were surprised to see the star make a major career change – as she took on a brief role as a waitress at Waffle House.
The Summertime Sadness singer even looked the part as she wore the company’s blue uniform complete with a yellow name badge.
Her fame seemingly wasn’t an issue as she was kept busy by working behind the counter and tending to customers at their tables.
Despite her new role, Lana also dedicated some time the very surprised customers and posed for photos with thrilled fans.
While the reasoning behind Lana working at the chain restaurant remains to be known, fans quickly took to social media to share their amazement and anticipation.

After a video of the 38-year-old working behind the counter went viral @tomlinhnfr commented: “Lana is the most unserious celebrity and that’s why I f***ing love her.”
@lunanowhere praised: “Lana Del Rey randomly working as a waitress for the waffle house is iconic.”
A surprised @oceanblvdvinyl added: “The randomness of this woman amazes me every day.”
As @ldrarmpit speculated: “Plz tell me this is for her documentary where she goes back to where she worked before her career started or something.”

Despite Lana’s record-breaking success and millions of fans worldwide, the star chooses to keep a low profile as she doesn’t have any social media presence.
The recent release of her latest album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd dominated Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
As a result, she made history by having the second-most Hits Of All Time On Billboard’s Rock Chart tied with Machine Gun Kelly.
Although Lana is widely regarded as one of the most successful singers of the past 10 years, with an estimated net worth of more than $40 million, she has shared her desire to take on career opportunities outside of music.
In 2021, the singer told Variety: “Sometimes that has taken me super far away from music into other mediums and other job opportunities that have nothing to do with the arts at all.
“I’m very flexible and what I’ve come to understand is that if you follow what you’re interested in, you’ll end up being the most creative in that field.”
Lana added: “Even if you get a 9-5 after you got the decade award, you need to do what feels right.”
