Lewis Capaldi left The One Show host Alex Jones red-faced as she was forced to apologise for his swearing during Friday night’s episode.
The singer, 26, appeared on the BBC programme to perform his single Forget Me but a number of expletives flowed from his mouth as he chatted to Alex, 45, and her co-host Roman Kemp, 29.
As he was congratulated on reaching the top of the charts with his track, Lewis replied: ‘Yeah, I’m chuffed to b***ery!

‘It was nerve-wracking, but it’s good to be back, amongst friends, and it’s good to be out of the house!’
Just seconds later Lewis swore again while talking about the music video for the song, a recreation of Wham’s 1983 promo for their song Club Tropicana.
Lewis declared: ‘Your mum was in it and she looked b**** good in it, I have to say that!’

As Lewis left the sofa to head over to the stage ahead of his performance on the show, Alex issued an apology to viewers for the musician’s language as Roman struggled to keep a straight face while sitting alongside her.
She said: ‘We have got to say a quick sorry about the language. I’m sorry if anyone was offended.’
It comes after Lewis left Naga Munchetty shocked after making an X-rated remark live on BBC Breakfast last month.

He was on the red sofa to chat with Naga, 47, and her co-host Charlie Stayt, 60, about his new single Forget Me.
But at the end of then chat, Lewis left Naga wide-eyed after mishearing something she said as a sexual remark.
Speaking to Charlie, Lewis said: ‘Can I just say, you’ve got great hair. We were talking about it outside.’
Charlie then payed the compliment back to Lewis with Naga jokingly asking the pair: ‘Would you like a room?’
Lewis, not hearing her properly, responded: ‘I thought you said rim’.
Shocked, Naga turned to the camera and quickly ended the interview before adding: ‘We’re going to have a little word with Lewis’.

Lewis shared the clip on his Twitter and wrote: ‘A classic breakdown in communication.’
His fans quickly commented on the hilarious mishap, with one writing: ‘Literally p****d myself laughing , please never change.’
Another added: ‘Jesus there’s no limits with you boy,’ while another said: ‘Best breakfast show ever’.’

Lewis claimed his third UK number one single last week when Forget Me shot straight to the top of the charts.
He previously reaching the top spot with his 2019 hit Someone You Loved and 2020’s Before You Go.
Pop star Lewis, who has recently been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome, said: ‘I can’t thank everyone enough for doing this with me and getting it to this point, even though I did most of the work myself!
