Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock breaks silence on Perrie Edwards feud rumours

BRITs: Mo Gilligan asks Leigh Anne Pinnock about her children

Former Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has shut down rumours regarding whether she and bandmate Perrie Edwards have drifted apart.

The reported friendship split comes after Perrie, 29, was notably absent from the 31-year-old’s Jamaican wedding, where she tied the knot with her now-husband, Andre Gray, 31.

However, in an interview with Heart Breakfast, she told hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston that despite their break-up, she, Perrie and Jade are still “so tight”.

Amanda asked the Wings singer how she feels about releasing solo music, and whether it felt “weird” not to have the girls with her.

She stated: “I literally keep saying that I’ve been punked or something.

“Like they’re just gonna’ pop out from somewhere, they’re just gonna’ join me, it’s bizarre but I genuinely feel like it’s the right time.”

Back in 2021, Leigh-Anne, Jade Thirlwall, 30, and Perrie announced they were taking an indefinite hiatus from Little Mix to focus on solo projects.

But Leigh-Anne said that the trio’s hiatus truly came after being “together for twelve years” and believing it was time to “spread their wings”.

In relation to Little Mix’s current relationship, the mum-of-two said: “They are my girls and they’re always gonna to be my sisters, so of course we’re gonna do a reunion, how would we not?”

Since the three went their separate ways, Jade has attended Pinnock’s hen-do, her wedding and also the launch party of her new single, Don’t Say Love.

Unfortunately, Perrie has apparently been absent from all three events for unknown reasons.

However, in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1’s Greg James, the Geordie singer revealed that she has been very busy recently working on her own solo project.

She said: “I have a little writing camp going on in my hometown of Weymouth which is really fun. It’s where I grew up, we thought we’d do it here.”

Dispelling any rumours of a feud between herself and her former Little Mix bandmate, Perrie said: “Weymouth is lit but I tell you what’s even better than Weymouth: Leigh-Anne’s new song.

“Leigh-Anne I’m obsessed, literally obsessed. Can’t get over it. It’s in my head 24/7 so thank you for that.”
