As season 10 of Love Island gets into full swing, fans of the ITV show have claimed that blonde bombshell Molly Marsh has been "planted" by ITV producers.
The 21 year old musical theatre performer has already made an impression in the villa as she coupled up with Mitchel Taylor at the start, she has had a few kisses in a challenge and also went on a date with new bombshell Sammy Root.
One fan has shared a snap of the islander on Reddit standing outside the villa along with the caption: “Apparently, Molly worked behind the scenes on Love Island.”
Other viewers commented on the picture as one wrote: “I have to say it she does feel a bit like a ITV production plant and tbh it’s kind of off putting”, while another said: “They’re all production plants though. Quite literally”.
It was reported by The Sun that Molly secured a place on the official lineup after she was invited to take a look around the winter Love Island villa and hit it off with ITV bosses.
A source said last month: “Molly was scouted after visiting the villa in South Africa earlier this year.
“She was on the tour as an invited guest when she caught the eyes of producers.
“Molly made it clear she would love to be a part of Love Island and she was told to audition. After going through the process, she’s now a shoo-in to fly to Majorca later this month.”
Before heading into the villa as an islander, Molly previously said: "With my job being in social media, I’ve had some amazing opportunities to go on press trips and I’ve actually been out to the Love Island Villas in Mallorca and South Africa.
"Having the experience to walk around both was amazing but to now actually live in the Villa is going to be incredible. "
This followed as fans of the show hit out as they insisted it focused too much on Molly. For the past few nights, Molly has dominated much of the coverage since the series kicked off on day one, with several of the Islanders having admitted she was their “number one” in the villa.
Yet while their feelings may well be genuine, some fans at home have become less than impressed by the star’s continued appearance on screen. As many conversations with Molly have been shown, fans said several islanders such as Catherine Agbaje, and Medhi Edno have barely received any screen time.
One fan wrote: “Why has this all of a sudden turned into Molly island?”, while another said: “I’ve had enough of Molly & Mitchell island now.”
Before a third weighed in: “Get me off of Molly Island! I’m on my knees begging!”, while another said: “When we are 40 min and it’s still Molly Island. Make it Stop.”
later ion Friday’s episode, there was a change of pace when the conversation veered from Molly’s ongoing relationship woes towards which unlucky islander would be leaving the villa!
