Love Island’s Dr Alex George reveals results of his ‘glow up’ after health kick

FormerLove IslandstarAlex Georgehas shared photos on Instagram and wrote that he feels “so much happier and healthier than I have in a long time.”

The snaps that the A&E doctor shared were from a shoot with skincare brand La Roche Posay and in one picture, Alex stands grinning with his arms crossed as he wears a denim jacket, white T-shirt, cream trousers, and white trainers.

In the caption, he wrote: “So Abby [Alex's assistant] said I’ve had a glow up recently, I still don’t really understand what it means but apparently it’s a good thing [laughing face emoji] I must admit, I am feeling so much happier and healthier than I have in a long time. It’s been a hard journey, but I am getting there.”

He continued saying that he is “proud” to work with the brand and that it is “so awesome” to work with their team.

Fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the former Islander’s “glow up”.

One fan wrote: “Looking really well! You’ve inspired me to give up alcohol, lost myself recently and alcohol is doing more harm than good”.

Another penned: “Alex you are looking so well. You are glowing, it suits you. Thank you for all your hard work that you do for everyone, in making us aware of so many issues/subjects//podcasts. Thanks."

“You look so healthy and most importantly happy [red love heart],” a third person said.

A fourth commented: “I agree with Abbey, to great to see after what you've been through. [red love heart]”

The 32 year oldpaid tribute to his brotherin February, who would have turned 22, but unfortunately took his own life in 2020.

Posting a photo of Llŷr, he wrote: “Today you would be 22. I realised the other day, that as I grow grey and old. You will never age. Frozen in time, for eternity.

"My heart aches every single day, and I miss you. You are with me in everything I do, My boy. Happy Birthday Llŷr x."

The doctor-turned-reality-star has been an advocate for mental health ever since and recentlycalled for changeafter a headteacher took her own life.

He said: “Teachers are under immense pressure and have been through so much in recent years. Something is going seriously wrong when something like this is happening,” Alex wrote of Ruth’s passing.

“Why are we piling pressure on people who are already buckling under the weight of expectation?”
