Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has flown to Turkey to be with her family, remaining silent about her shock split with Italian beau Davide Sanclimenti.
On Thursday evening, June 29, the Love Island winners shocked their millions of fans when Davide Sanclimenti announced on social media that the couple were breaking up, less than a year after their appearance on the show.
While Ekin-Su has not made any official statement about the breakup, she shared with her 3.2 million followers that she had returned to Turkey to reunite with her family just hours before David broke the news.
The Turkish actress took to her Instagram stories to share a snap with her auntie, mom, and another cousin.
Ekin, who looked naturally beautiful in the photo, wearing sunglasses and minimal makeup, wrote: "Finally reunited with mom and auntie."
Davide and Ekin-Su, both 28, quickly became fan favourites on the ITV2 reality series in 2022 and were crowned as the winners.
But just eleven months later, Italian model Davide announced that the couple were going their separate ways, penning:
Posting the news on his Instagram story, Davide shared with fans: "@ekinsuofficial & I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together, and I wish her nothing but the best.
"I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in any way possible," the star added.
On Monday, just days before the split, the pair looked as love-up as ever as they walked the red carpet together at the Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny UK Premiere in London.
The brunette beauty stunned as she posed in a black maxi dress featuring a cut-out detail at the hip and a slit up one of her legs.
She complemented her dress with sparkling heels and, other than a single ring, opted against adding extra jewelry to her ensemble.
There was no evidence of trouble in paradise for the pair as David came dressed in a matching black outfit, rocking a suave shirt with two buttons left undone, teamed with black jeans and matching shoes.
During their time together, the couple entertained fans, landing a new ITV2 show called Ekin-Su and Davide Homecomings, which saw the charming couple travel around Italy and Turkey.
They also landed their own popular cooking show with Google, which the Mirror reports turned the couple into multimillionaires.
