Love Island’s Faye Winter captured the hearts of fans on Saturday as she emotionally revealed that her beloved dog had reached a very special milestone overnight.
Taking to Instagram to share the news, reality star Faye shared a short clip on her Stories of her adorable pooch, Bonnie, who she famously adopted with ex Teddy Soares last year, as she revealed that the four legged addition to her family had finally become a teenager after experiencing a period for the first time.
“Good Morning my lovely team,” she began.
“It happened. It happened last night didn’t it my love?” The camera then panned to the golden retriever who looked less than impressed as Faye continued to speak.
“Yeah, not happy. We’re not happy this morning. I’ve got a teenager! I don’t know how to feel about it,” she revealed, before appearing to get emotional on camera.
“I don’t feel very — I could cry!” She declared, while tears did begin to brim in the doting owners eyes. “The blood gates have opened!”
Despite the big change in her beloved pet’s life however, Faye revealed that everything was fine as she had stocked up on supplies ahead of Bonnie’s anticipated monthly cycle.
“But it’s okay! I’ve got nappies! You look very cute in your nappy don’t you?” she gushed, while bringing the camera closer to the “teenager” in question to reveal the snazzy printed nappy her pet was wearing
In a surprising twist, Faye then revealed that the nappies were actually from Amazon!
Faye and Teddy first adopted Bonnie last year while the couple were still living together and enjoying their romance since finding love on ITV2 dating show Love Island. The couple however famously parted ways in February this year, with Faye taking sole custody of Bonnie ever since.
A beloved sidekick to the reality star, Bonnie has often delighted Faye's fans on social media whenever the star shared glimpses of the bubbly and adorable puppy. In March this year, she even became a bit of a celebrity in her own right while making an appearance at the staple of the canine calendar, Crufts!
