Jack Fincham has admitted he still has regrets over behaviour that cost him a job on ITV's This Morning.
Jack burst into the spotlight on Love Island in 2018, where he quickly hooked up with co-star Dani Dyer and went on to win the competition. After leaving the villa, the pair had plenty of opportunities and were even handed their very own docuseries, titled Jack and Dani: Life After Love Island.
ITV magazine show This Morning then came calling and the now-32 year old traversed Europe with presenter Andi Peters for various segments of the programme.
Having split from Dani, 26, in 2019, though, his side gig on Channel 4's Celebs Go Dating meant that the star wasn't fully committed to This Morning, and he disastrously managed to miss a shift after one booze-fuelled night out.
"I'm still forever sorry about that," Jack told the Under the Surface podcast.
"I went out and I didn't wake up and it's my own fault. I was working and I was having such a brilliant time doing the competitions with Andi Peters, having a whale of a time going all over Europe doing live tele.
"I was loving it. Instead of people coming up to me saying Love Island, they'd say 'loved your competition the other day,'" he further recalled.
Despite Jack being "so apologetic" about the event, the show's bosses "were just so angry" and his career is still suffering the ramifications to this day.
Jack has changed in the years since though, and says while he "learned the hard way," he's a "very different person today".
His ex-girlfriend Dani is now a mum-of-three and recently told her Instagram followers that she's worried about mixing up twin babies Star and Summer, who were born in April of this year.
In a Q&A she was asked: "How do you remember which one of the twins is who?? I'd get so confused!" before replying: "I was worried about this but they don't actually look alike in my eyes [laughing emoji]. Summer has more hair than Star and they have different features when you look up close [heart emoji].
"I'm not sure whether the older they get the more alike they will look but currently they don't look exactly the same x."
A second Insta user then asked how her eldest son Santiago is settling into life as an older brother.
"He does amazing. I mean he does try and jump on them multiple times a day [laughing emoji]," she wrote. "But he has adapted so so well and always tells me how much he loves his baby sisters… I was worried about how he would be so I'm really pleased that he has enjoyed becoming a big brother."
Dani is now in a relationship with West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen, who scored the trophy-winning and history-making goal against Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final last month.
