Love Island star Paige Thorne has spoken in detail about her reunion with Jacques O’Neil in a new interview, as she addressed the rumours that they’re dating.
Paige, 24, recently split from Adam Collard after videos were released of him getting close to two different women.
It has since been speculated that Paige is back with previous love interest Jacques, 23, after she confirmed they’d been in contact following her split.
Now, the former contestant has addressed the rumours, saying she’s “just friends” with Jacques, at least for now.
Paige told Cosmopolitan: “It’s spreading that me and Jacques are back in contact, and we're going to be ‘reunited’ and all this kind of thing.
“We've literally had one conversation on the phone. It's just friends. Everyone can chill out with the speculation that ‘Paige and Jacques, she's gonna go back to him’. It's not quite like that. We’re just friends.”
Speaking on her relationship with Adam, 26, Paige said that right after Love Island, the pair were making it work long distance and there were “no problems”.
Two months later however, videos of Adam with two women on holiday emerged and Paige claims she received other videos of him with women, putting strain on their relationship.
“He was telling me nothing happened, and his attitude was like ‘get over it,’” Paige continued.
“I was really upset by it, but why would I believe everything everyone says when he was treating me a certain way [in private]?
"By this time I had already been sent another video in my DMs that hasn't gone public yet. He didn't know that I had it. This one was like a massive kick in the face."
Paige said she and Adam tried to give their relationship another go following the videos, but he quickly grew cold over text whilst on holiday in Bali.
Paige said: “It got to maybe the third day and he started being really shady on text. He wasn't texting me back. My own boyfriend literally ghosted me.
“From then, I was just like, ‘We’re done. This is beyond a joke now.’ He replied, ‘I didn’t want it to go this way, but at least we both know where we stand.’ We didn’t even get into an argument.
"I deleted my pictures and didn’t hear from him. That was it. There was no, ‘I’m sorry’ or ‘Let’s talk about it.’ There was nothing."
Paige alleged that she was shown another video of ex Adam kissing a woman moments before she faced him at the NTAs red carpet this month, leaving her distraught.
She said: “We ended up being on the red carpet at the same time.
“Literally five minutes before walking down the red carpet, I was shown a video of him kissing a girl in Bali. I was crying in the car before walking down the red carpet.”
Paige described her romance with Adam as “a real relationship for me” and finished her interview by saying she has “bad days”, though she has support from friends and family.
