Love Island’s Summer claims row with Coco was ‘heavily edited’ as she breaks silence on feud

Love Island contestant Summer Botwe has claimed the furious row she had with Coco Lodge was 'heavily edited' as she broke her silence following their feud.

On Sunday night's reunion show, the pair clashed in an explosive argument over Josh Le Grove, who Summer had built a connection with in the villa shortly before he was dumped from the show.

The events decor business owner, 22, took to her Instagram Stories to clarify the state of her relationship with model and personal trainer Josh Le Grove, 22, as well as clearing things up about her argument with Coco.

In the post, she confirmed the pair had split just a couple of weeks after beginning to date.

"Thank you for all the love and support after the reunion show, it never goes unnoticed," she wrote, accompanying a picture of her from We Are FSTVL music festival which she attended with several fellow Islanders.

She added: "To clarify the 'argument' between me and Coco was heavily edited and there was more to it than what met the eye.

"I would also like to clarify that me and Josh are only friends and haven't decided to pursue things romantically at this time."

Summer is not the first contestant on this series to claim that things have been edited or completely left out during their time on the show.

Most recently, Deji Adeniyi claimed that he had kissed Indiyah Polack several times in unaired scenes of their time in Casa Amor.

During most of the series, Indiyah was coupled up with Dami Hope, with the pair finishing third in the live finale.

However, they both explored new connections during the Casa Amor week, with Dami coupling up with Summer and Indiyah returning with Deji, before they eventually got back together.

During the famed Meet The Parents episode, Indiyah's mum Dee didn't hold back when scolding Dami about his three-way kiss with Summer and Chyna Mills, claiming: "But Indiyah didn’t kiss Deji."

Deji has since hit back at these comments on an appearance on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, claiming they kissed "multiple times" and that she gave him no indication she still had feelings for Dami.

He said: “There were conversations that we had where she would come to me and be like ‘Oh, he said this, this and this’ but she would be sat on my lap kissing me."

He continued: “So, then it was like I had nothing to worry about. There was never any inkling that made me go ‘OK, you’re here today but gone tomorrow’.”

Fellow Islander Natalia Campos questioned his version of events, claiming she never saw them kissing.

"I didn't know she kissed you? Did we ever see them kissing?," she asked.

Host Will Njobvu then replied: "I don't think so."

Deji then said "did it not show?", before Will replied: "How many kisses… how many times…?"

"Let me not speak," said Deji before he admitted he and Indiyah had kissed "a few times".
