Love Island’s Tasha and Andrew tried to quit villa after her brutal treatment during challenge

Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has opened up on how she almost “walked out” of the villa this summer, after taking part in one of the show’s brutal challenges.

Tasha, 24, tells how she was “ready to walk” away with partner Andrew Le Page, 27, following the show’s ‘Snog, Marry, Pie’ challenge.

The model and dancer found herself fighting back tears after she had pies thrown at her by Luca Bish and Dami Hope during the game, withsome fans worrying the other Islanders took things too far .

During the episode, Luca pied Tasha, saying: "I could give you a list as long as Adam but we let it go for today and it is just a game."

While Dami also pied the dancer, claiming: "The reason I pied you, I feel like you usually get away with a lot of stuff but this pie, you weren't going to get away with…"

Tasha was left upset over the "nasty" comments, admitting that being pied didn't bother her but it was the reasons afterwards as it felt like a "personal attack".

Speaking for the first time about what happened, she said the incident almost led to her leaving the villa.

She said: “I knew I was gonna get pies. I was ready for it, but it was more about the comments after that…There’s a level of banter and there’s [that].

“I was standing there thinking: ‘Keep your head held high and don’t show a reaction.’ There’s a clip and you can still see it in my face [how upset I was].

She continued toFabulous: "It was a lot – I felt backed into a corner. It’s such an intense environment and hard to escape. You’re stuck in there together. I was ready to walk out.”

After the game, furious boyfriend Andrew insisted that he has "no time" for both Luca and Dami anymore while Paige Thorne added: "It wasn't just a game, that became very personal. They knew it would make her upset."

However, later on, Luca apologised to Tasha, admitting that he had gone "too far" and insisting that he thinks she's a "lovely girl", saying: "I promise you now, I do not want to see you upset."

While Dami told Tasha that he wanted to be her friend and had her back in the ITV2 villa, insisting: "I don't have any more jokes, I'm done now."

The two Islanders also spoke to Andrew, where Luca admitted that they had "taken the p**s" as they all vowed to move on.

Tasha went on to say in the interview: “A lot had happened in the space of three days and a lot of it was targeted at me. I was upset. I did kind of walk out. I said [to producers]: ‘I’ve had enough.’ Andrew said: ‘I’m gonna go with you.’  Then all of a sudden the boys apologised…It was a bittersweet moment. I’m a very forgiving person. I didn’t want to live the rest of the weeks in a negative way. I forgive, but I don’t forget.”

Andrew and Tasha, who were coupled up from the beginning of their time in the Love Island villa, are still going strong after returning to the UK from Mallorca.

Tasha recently posted a heartwarming tribute to her boyfriend after she managed to capture the sweet moment he changed her cochlear implant batteries on camera.

Sharing the clip online on her own Instagram stories, Tasha shared the short video with the words: “So glad I caught this on camera. Changing my batteries for me” alongside two doe-eyed emojis.

Tasha was fitted with a cochlear implant at the age of five, with the device helping the star to process speech.

Fans at home were also loving the gesture and appreciated the kindness of the act.

"The little kiss at the end is such a genuine and impromptu moment, so sweet!!”, wrote one person.

While another added: “Tears in my eyes!”

A third then commented: “Oh my god” alongside a string of crying emojis.
