MAFS villain Davina Rankin confirms split from husband after less than a year of marriage

Married at First Sight star Davina Rankin has confirmed that she and her husband, Jaxon Manuel, have split after less than a year of marriage.

Davina rose to prominence when she appeared as on MAFS Australia in 2018.

During her time on the show, she became notorious for cheating on her 'husband' Ryan Gallagher with Dean Wella, a right-wing YouTuber, but she later blamed her actions on bad editing.

Following her time on the show, Davina met Jaxon and the pair welcomed a daughter together before getting hitched.

Fans had speculated for a while that the pair had gone their separate ways, and the 31-year-old has now confirmed the break-up in an Instagram post.

She shared a sunset snap along with the caption: "Relationships are hard. Given the recent speculation, I feel like I need to confirm that Jax and I have separated."

She continued by saying that despite the split they will continue to co-parent their three-year-old daughter, Mila-Mae.

"I will at some point discuss this further, but my current focus is learning to navigate my new normal while providing a seamless and loving transition into co-parenting for our daughter."

Along with the post, she also unfollowed Jaxon.

The two married in a luxurious ceremony in April last year, but by August rumours of separation had begun to swirl as Jaxon stopped appearing in pictures on his wife's social media.

Davina also hinted at heartache as she reflected on the past 12 months in an end of 2022 post.

She wrote: "2022 has been the biggest year of spiritual and mental growth for me and for the first time in my life I can finally hear the whispers of my heart.

"I'm in touch with my institution and I've stopped people pleasing and I'm tackling my fear of judgement head on.

"This year I grew into something I could have never imagined… MYSELF."

But, as recently as January, the influencer insisted that the two of them were still very much together.

She told So Dramatic! in January: "We are definitely still married. Although I should probably post more photos of him."

The pair became engaged in March 2021 on the reality star's 30th birthday.

She announced the engagement in a post saying: "I guess 30 isn’t looking too bad after all" alongside a picture of her smiling and flashing a ring, while her husband holds her close and plants a kiss on the side of her head.
