Eating camel testicle in the world’s worst restaurant, constantly being attacked by bugs and a VERY basic toilet: MailOnline’s Sarah Packer gives a glimpse of life inside the gruesome I’m A Celebrity camp – so let’s hope Matt Hancock has a strong stomach!
With a star-studded line-up of celebrities, politicians and even royals about to enter the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle when the new series of the gruesome ITV1 reality show kicks off on Sunday, what can this year’s contestants expect from the camp?
MailOnline’s Sarah Packer has been granted exclusive access inside the notoriously basic accommodation and has revealed Mike Tindall will be worlds away from his usual luxuries as a member of the royal family – with freezing showers, cramped sleeping quarters and a toilet that is essentially a hole in a plank of wood.
Sarah was even treated to the delectable delights of a grisly dining experience in ‘the world’s worst restaurant’, sampling vile fermented duck egg and a shot of blended camel testicle which left a foul smell that lingered for so long she feared talking to people.
With fans already pledging to vote for Matt Hancock to do every Bushtucker Trial when the series kicks off on Sunday, let’s hope he has a strong stomach.

I have no idea how Helen Flanagan and Myleene Klass made the famous jungle shower look so glamorous.
On Wednesday, I visited the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp in Queensland, Australia and immediately set eyes on the waterfall, scene of the sexiest moments in the series’ history.
However, after a tiny dip in the water, I can report it’s genuinely freezing, not overly clean and there’s zero privacy.

Stomach-churning: Sarah confessed she was confident about the eating trial while watching from the comfort of her sofa – but it was a whole different kettle of fish when she tried it herself
Myleene and Helen should have won an Oscar for their acting, they made it look like an exotic shampoo advert.
I predict that this year’s glam signing, ex-Love Islander Olivia Attwood, will long for the day she was sunning herself at the Majorcan villa because the conditions in camp are anything but luxury.
With the campfire burning, you instantly smell like smoke, bugs want to bite you at every opportunity, and the toilet is a hole in a plank of wood.

For the first time ever, celebrities can sleep in a bunk bed and there really is no space, especially for a man of Mike Tindall’s physique.
And to top it all off there’s the Bush Tucker Trials.
After watching the show for the past 20 years, I have often confidently thought to myself from my sofa ‘I could do that.’

But after being made to eat a fermented duck egg, washed down by a shot of blended camel testicle, which is just a taster of what celebrities like Matt Hancock will be challenged with, I have changed my mind.
With no chewing gum available, I was so conscious of my breath, and the taste of rotting egg lingers in your mouth for hours afterwards.
I feared speaking to anyone, in case my breath offended them.
Ring, ring! The camp mates will receive calls during the daily challenge and the occasional call from home in the phone box
Yet, I did understand the post-eating trial euphoria the celebs often speak about.
I used to think they ramped up their emotions, but I won’t deny, I felt pretty pleased with myself for eating the ghastly snacks without throwing up.
Hopefully Mr Hancock has got a strong stomach, because I have a feeling, he’s going to be a regular diner in the world’s worst restaurant.
