Matthew McConaughey’s son Levi, 15, shares heartfelt birthday tribute to his dad: ‘The man who’s always there for us no matter what’

Matthew McConaughey is feeling the love from his family on his 54th birthday.

The Oscar winner’s 15-year-old son, Levi, took to his Instagram on Saturday to share a heartfelt message in honor of his dad’s big day. 

‘People know Matthew Mcconaughey as an actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father,’ Levi began.

‘The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who’s always there for us no matter what, and the man that taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination,’ he continued, alongside an epic photo carousal of throwback snaps of the family, including his mom, Camila Alves, and his siblings, sister Vida, 13, and brother Livingston, 10.

‘The journeys just getting started…Happy birthday Papai,’ Levi concluded the sweet tribute.

In one photo, the Dallas Buyer’s Club alum had his arms around his stunning wife and their adorable three kids.

In the second picture, Levi is all smiles alongside Matthew while they took in a baseball game at a stadium. 

The two of them were later spotted with the entire McConaughey family, including Matthew’s mother, Kay, as they gathered for an outdoor group snap. 

In the last picture, the family was seated around a kitchen table, their hands intertwined in a heartwarming moment. 

The star had an eventful birthday weekend, as he and Camila attended a party for their new tequila business venture, Pantalones Organic Tequila, before attending a football game at the University of Texas in Austin.

The gorgeous couple have been in promotion mode for their Pantalones collaboration after they announced it with a hilarious commercial last month. 

In a cheeky nod to the brand’s name, the superstar couple ditch their slacks to go riding motorcycles through an agave field.

Matthew and Camilla’s new collaboration comes as no surprise, as they are practically inseparable.

Last month, the Dallas Buyer’s Club star revealed the two have never been separated for longer than nine days throughout their marriage, which took place in 2012. 

The couple’s love story began with their encounter at a West Hollywood nightclub in 2006. 

The Oscar winner shared with People that prior to meeting her, he had doubts about ever experiencing ‘unconditional love.’

‘I mean, the clock was ticking,’ he recalled. ‘I was about to be 40 and my plan was to be married and have kids by that age.

‘But I didn’t want to play the game of starting to feel anxious because, with too much anxiety, you can’t find a mate,’ he continued. ‘And then you make a hasty decision.

‘And then this amazing woman walked across my field of vision and I thought, “Who is that?” And it was Camila.’ 

‘We have a love that we never question,’ he said.
