Max George breaks silence on Maisie Smith romance as he gets huge new tattoo

Max George has broken his silence on his romance with Maisie Smith as he got a huge new tattoo.

The Wanted singer, 33, and former EastEnders actress, 21, who first met while both appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, were recently spotted packing on the PDA while out shopping in London.

The pair sparked rumours that they were secretly dating earlier this month after they were reportedly seen snogging on flight to Crete during a recent holiday trip.

They were later seen holding hands while out in London and rumours that they're living together followed when Maisie was spotted leaving the same apartment as Max, before they went shopping for household items.

Now, Max has addressed their relationship for the first time.

According to The Sun, he seemed to confirm they had moved in together while getting a lion and rose design inked on his forearm – a tattoo he hadn't told Maisie about yet – at popular celebrity parlour INK’D.

He reportedly said: "[Maisie] will just have to wait and see. I have shown a few designs and that but nothing, not that big.

"She likes tattoos, I’ve got a few already so it should be a nice surprise."

Max added: “A guy showed me a design which I loved about ten years ago and I’ve just come down to London to spend a bit of time here and I thought you know what, change of scenery, get a new tat, new me, innit?"

He got the tattoo done in Fulham after he and Maisie were spotted shopping for homewares in nearby Kensington High Street.

The couple struck up a friendship while on Strictly, when Max was paired with pro dancer Dianne Buswell and Maisie was partnered with Gorka Márquez.

They are said to have later become closer during the Strictly Live tour last year.

Max reportedly began publicly dating Maisie shortly after he split with Stacey Giggs, who is said to have accused him of cheating on her with his Strictly co-star.

A source told OK! earlier this month that Stacey, 41, was "shocked but not surprised" when the pictures of Max and Maisie looking cosy on a plane emerged.

As well as their Crete getaway, the pair were also recently spotted in Majorca and reportedly travelled to Portugal together, too.

The source said Max was "very smitten" and he and Maisie "get on so well", adding: "This is the real deal, they’re not dating or seeing how it goes, it’s a genuine relationship".
