Max George gives middle finger to Ulrika Jonsson after Maisie ‘attention-seeking’ jibe

Max George has hit back at Ulrika Jonsson after she called his girlfriend Maisie Smith “attention seeking”.

The Wanted star, 34, and Strictly star Maisie, 21, recently sparked engagement rumours as they enjoyed a loved-up holiday in Cyprus.

However, the couple came under fire by Ulrika, 55, when she targeted Maisie in a seemingly random swipe, calling the actress “attention seeking” in her latest newspaper column.

Maisie had posted a video of herself crying to TikTok, which left some fans wondering if it had anything to do with her boyfriend Max.

But boyband star Max slammed Ulrika and seemed to confirm things between the pair were still going well in a new Instagram story, where he can be seen giving the presenter the middle finger in a mirror selfie.

Max can be seen standing in a lift and placing one foot on the railing in front of him, taking a photo of himself as he holds up his middle singer.

He wrote: “Just for you Ulrika”.

It comes after the presenter had a scathing response to Maisie in her latest column for The Sun.

Ulrika revealed her distaste at Maisie's decision to post a video of herself crying on TikTok, which was soundtracked by Omar Apollo's Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me at All).

Following the crying videos, Maisie mouthed the words, "You Didn't Deserve Me At All", and wrote in the caption, "Nothing but happiness these days."

In response, Ulrika wrote: "Now, Maisie’s not the first sleb to engage in this kind of attention-seeking nonsense and I doubt she’ll be the last."

She continued: "I certainly can’t imagine reaching for my phone mid-personal drama to ensure I captured my tearful moment for people to see."

She added: "To do what Maisie did, which was to accompany her tears with a cryptic message and dramatic music which had everyone tearing their hair out with concern for her, fraught with anxiety – and then in a subsequent post to be pictured snogging the face off her boyfriend as if nothing had happened at all, is insulting."

She went on to compare the video to "the boy who cried wolf".

Maisie and Max were recently holidaying together in Cyprus on what she has dubbed a "baecation".

A recent snap of the couple got their fans questioning if they've taken the next step and gotten engaged – the very opposite of splitting up.

In a photo posted on Max's Instagram, Maisie appeared to have a diamond ring sitting on the wedding finger of her left hand, prompting their fans to go into overdrive with speculation.

One person commented: "Is that an engagement ring?" whilst another said: "I thought the same".

A third questioned: "Is that a ring? On your RING FINGER?!"
