Meghan Markle ‘to relaunch lifestyle blog’ and ‘rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop’

Meghan Markle is reportedly set to relaunch her lifestyle blog, The Tig, as she prepares to go head-to-head with Gwyneth Paltrow's wildly successful site, Goop, which is worth $200million.

The Duchess of Sussex' business manager renewed the trademark for The Tig in January 2022, and she has reportedly now got official preliminary approval to relaunch the site.

Meghan, 41, first launched the lifestyle blog in 2014, where she gave readers advice about food, drinks, travel and wellness.

The Tig, which is named after her favourite type of wine, Tignanello, was then shut down in 2017, after she got engaged to Prince Harry.

The Mirror reports that Meghan could also become a kind of agony aunt, according to details filed with the US Trademark and Patent Office.

According to official papers, a section of the website could include “commentary in the field of personal relationships”.

Meghan is said to be hoping that The Tig could become as successful – or even rival – actress Gwyneth's website, Goop, which promotes New Age wellness, and sells a number of items, such as vagina-scented candles.

It's the latest venture for brand Sussex, as Prince Harry and Meghan continue to carve out careers – after stepping down as working royals.

It is believed that Meghan is keen to revive her website, as it's the only place where she can have "complete control of the narrative".

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Express.co.uk: "I think she's working on relaunching The Tig because that is the only thing that Meghan has had her fingertips on from start to finish that she could control wholly.

"That was a success, and was a reflection of her capabilities and it was an independent success for Meghan.

"She was really proud of that but she controlled everything and she felt it was perfect."

OK! has contacted Meghan's representatives for comment.

Harry and Meghan now live in a sprawling multi-million dollar mansion in Montecito, California, with their three year old son Archie and daughter Lilibet, 21 months.

Since leaving the royal family, they have signed a number of lucrative million-dollar deals

Their contract with Netflix, rumoured to be worth $100million, is to produce documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows and children's programming.

Harry and Meghan appeared in a self-titled six-part documentary released on the streaming service in December, that told "in their words" their love story and how they came to step down from royal duties in 2020.

It was followed by the release of Harry's bombshell memoir, Spare, which hit shelves on 10 January and contained a number of shocking claims about his family, including the allegation that Harry's brother Prince William "physically attacked" him at his UK home in 2019.
