Michelle Keegan, 35, and Mark Wright, 36, revealed the expensive cost of making a mistake in the huge landscaping project they had for their Essex mansion.
The Only Way is Essex star admitted that their attempt to achieve a “little bit of privacy” resulted in a “devastating” £30,000 blunder after they were given the wrong recommendation.
The couple had plans to line their landscaped garden reportedly with £30,000 worth of boundary trees in a bid to hide their home from onlookers.
The Heart Radio host has now given an update on the project, explaining that the trees succumbed to the snow during the winter.
He said: “It’s that kind of weather outside where you start thinking about planting your spring/summer plants.
“I had a little bit of a nightmare, I’m not going to lie,” Mark told Heart Radio listeners on Monday.
Mark went on: “I planted some trees in my garden and they all died, and it’s devastating because I spent so long watching them, thinking, ‘Please grow’.
“They were my boundary trees to give me a little bit of privacy, and the company blamed it on the soil because obviously the wrong soil can make your plants go bad.
“I ended up finding out they recommended the wrong plants to me, and it was because they’re not supposed to be out in the open in anything below minus five degrees and at Christmas time it was like minus 15 when it snowed.”
The update comes after last month Mark embarked on a 30-hour drive to Mallorca, after the property he owns there suffered a “building nightmare”.

Taking to Instagram to recount his ordeal, Mark said he had just three weeks to sort the apartment out before the hotel opens for the season.
The reality star did not look best pleased as he informed his 1.8 million followers of the “nightmare” he was having.
Uploading a video, Mark captioned it: “30 hour drive to Mallorca, and 2.5 weeks to completely refurb an apartment, that was left to be done last year and turned in to building nightmares.
“As they say, if you want it done Wright, then DIY!”(sic)
Speaking to the camera, Mark said: “If you know me you know that one side of my business life is property development.
“Just over a year ago I bought an apartment in Mallorca and I left some Spanish builders to deal with it. And let’s just say… a nightmare, is exactly what it was.”
