Ex-Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon split after less than a year together, but their romance looked set to be revived recently as rumours swirled that they were back together.
However, fans' hopes could be dashed by them now unfollowing each other on Instagram.
Millie and Liam won their series of Love Island in 2021, but by the time last year's summer series of the ITV2 dating show had launched, they had already announced their split.
Fans of the reality TV stars have been hopeful they were giving their on-off relationship another shot, but their social media activity does not look encouraging as the pair are no longer following each other on Instagram.
The rumours of their romantic reunion began after they were spotted apparently enjoying a romantic trip to the Lake District over Easter.
The pair were also thought to have been on a cruise together, posing for a photo with a cruise singer, and Millie stayed close friends with Liam's sister Niamh, continuing to spend time with her.
In May, Liam fuelled the rumours further when he appeared on former Love Island co-star Chloe Burrow's podcast and talked about his relationship status. Chloe is BFF's with Millie and the pair live together.
He said: "I am not single. It is going really well, really well…very happy."
Although he didn't share with Chloe who his new girlfriend was, as he made plenty of references to his recent cruise during the podcast, many fans had hoped it was Millie.
Following his first split with Millie, Liam had posted on Instagram: "It's been a difficult few months, with moving from my home in Essex to moving back to Wales and now back living back in Essex on my own.
"Break-ups can be very hard and being in the public eye just make it that extra bit more difficult to deal with especially when you have rumours etc coming out and people judging your character off something which isn't true.
"But I've been down and when you're down you can either stay down or do what you can to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move forward. And that's what I'm doing."
Series 10 of Love Island is currently airing on ITV2, with the contestants already embroiled in drama which is set to simmer over in Monday's episode.
A sneak peek at the show teased that Jess Harding would call out Molly Marsh for "mugging off" Mitchel Taylor, leading to tense scenes.
Mitchel has made it clear he only has eyes for Molly, but she has been getting to know Zachariah Noble a little better – despite him being coupled up with Catherine Agbaje.
