Molly-Mae Hague admits to ‘overwhelming and sad’ times as new mum in honest post

Molly-Mae Hague has spoken candidly about motherhood, as she shares that it can be "overwhelming" at times.

The former Love Island star, who shares daughter Bambi with boyfriend Tommy Fury, shared some adorable photos of the baby to her Instagram page.

One snap saw Molly looking to the camera while hugging her daughter, and the second snap saw the tot sticking her tongue out.

Discussing being a new mum in the caption, Molly-Mae wrote: "Being a mum consists of great days, bad days, normal days, overwhelming days, perfect days, sad days… a lot of days of just making it to the end of the day! But through it all, a crazy amount of love."

She continued: "To my new mums out there who are reading this… when people say ‘it gets easier’ it really isn’t just a passing comment. You’ve got this [white heart emoji]"

The TV star's sister Zoe commented on the sweet snaps, writing: "You’re both incredible. So much respect I love you so much [red heart emoji]."

Fan were also quick to comment, with many sharing their own thoughts on being a mum, as one wrote: "yes to this! I feel like all us mums should be in one big group chat!"

"Does she sleep through the night then [laughing emoji] as mine is 5 months and it hasn’t got easier hahaha" added another.

And a third penned: "The very very very best days. So good your using your platform to be honest about being a Mum."

It comes after Molly-Mae opened up about returning to work as Creative Director at PrettyLittleThing, just three months after giving birth.

In a video posted to her YouTube channel, Molly-Mae explained her decision to return to work so soon, telling fans: "At the end of the day, I am self-employed, so I have to work because there’s bills to pay.

“We’ve got a mortgage to pay, car bills to pay. I’ve got outgoings. I have to earn. I don’t get a maternity leave pay. You don’t when you’re self-employed, so I have to get back to work.”

The video also saw the fashion mogul discuss a recent trip to Nice, France, where she took part in her first photoshoot since Bambi's birth. The trip also marked the first time she'd spent a night away from her baby.

She said: "I’m going on my first work trip to Nice after having a baby. It’s actually quite a big moment for me. I am so excited, but it’s a little bit bittersweet because it’s going to be my first time leaving my baby.

“She’s three months old now. It’s low key making me feel kind of sick. I’m not going to lie. You know that kind of homesick feeling you’d get.”
