Molly-Mae Hague says milk supply ‘gave up’ as she details six-week breastfeeding journey

Molly-Mae Hague has been giving fans an insight into her breastfeeding journey.

The influencer and former Love Island star, who marked the Easter weekend with a sweet snap of her daughter in an Easter-themed outfit, has been sharing the ups and downs of becoming a mum to daughter Bambi.

Most recently, she has shared her experience with breastfeeding, and explaining the reason why she had to give up after such a short time.

"I've had to bring my breastfeeding journey to an end. I exclusively breast fed for six weeks," she explained in her most recent YouTube video.

She continued: "When you're breastfeeding you're not meant to have a period. And I came on when I was breastfeeding and that was an indicator to me that I wasn't producing enough milk.

"Bambi was going so hard on the nipple but nothing was coming out, bless her. My supply completely and utterly gave up on me."

She added: "Her feeds were taking like two hours and she was crying for more. And that was the end of our breastfeeding journey."

Molly-Mae, who gave birth to her and Tommy Fury's daughter Bambi in January, has previously been open about how tough motherhood has been, and shared how she was "struggling and overwhelmed" after not being able to sleep for five nights in a row.

"Maybe when I look back now, it sounds dramatic and it sounds intense, but I guess I do have a bit of trauma from the first few [weeks]," she said.

"When I look back at the first few weeks… traumatised is a really strong word, but I am slightly when I look back at the first few weeks when she came home.

She continued: "I was actually really, really unwell in the first week, I didn't sleep at all for five straight days and first straight nights.

"I physically couldn't eat, every time I had the opportunity to go and sleep when my sister was watching her, I felt physically sick every time I tried to sleep. My body couldn't understand that I was letting it rest."

However, in a more recent YouTube video, the influencer has shared she is learning to "love and accept" her body again.

Admitting she "doesn’t hate her body", she joked about looking as thought she'd had a bum lift due to her hips growing so much while pregnant.

In the vlog, Molly said: "I'm on way to my first PLT fitting since having her. I am very nervous, my body has changed hugely since Bambi.

"When I look in the mirror I don't hate my body but I just look completely different. It looks like I've had a BBL! My hips are so wide now."

She later reflected on the experience: "It's fine, I don't even hate it. I am learning to love it and accept it. The fitting was fine actually! We are going to Nice to shoot the new collection soon."
